Overview
As an Assistant Store Manager, you will assist the Store Manager with store operation and implementation of our company’s Servant Leadership – Integrity, Guest Focus, Accountability, Recognition, Excellent Execution, People and Teamwork. You’ll learn about 7-Eleven’s Retailer Initiative strategy, and be trained on our Retail Information System inventory management and ordering technology. You’ll also assist with managing the store staff – coaching, training, feedback and scheduling – after completion of the required training and certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Payment Acceptance
    • Maintain broad and deep industry knowledge with respect to payments
    • Facilitate acceptance and forms of payment preferred by customers. This may involve negotiation of new contracts and coordination with IT and other stakeholders
    • Partner with vendors, IT, and other stakeholders to maintain secure and reliable payments capabilities
    • Provide guidance on changes to payments environment that may impact user experience, security, and cost
    • Conduct regular evaluation of debit routing and execute changes to minimize acceptance costs
    • Negotiate processing agreements, debit / credit incentive agreements, and other contracts
    • Evaluate and facilitate payment transitions in conjunction with acquisitions
    • Develop and execute programs to combat fraud
    • Conduct analysis and provide reporting with respect to payment acceptance
  • ATM
    • Relationship management and issue resolution for U.S. / Canada ATMs, inclusive of both outsourced and company owned / managed programs
    • Lead contract negotiations and applicable RFPs
    • Coordinate digital marketing programs involving ATM vendors and 7-Eleven Marketing
    • Engage with asset protection and outside vendors on safety / security matters involving ATMs
    • Lead evaluation and execution of acquired ATM programs and associated transitions
    • Conduct analysis and provide reporting with respect to payment acceptance

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors’ Degree
  • 8+ years of progressive experience, including 3+ years of supervisory experience
  • Payments experience acquired through employment with a merchant, card brand, or processor

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Experience leading and managing projects
  • Ability to thrive and drive results a in fast paced environment
