Based at our Residential and Commercial Office at North York, the HR Business Partner will be providing professional and administrative support to the Human Resource Department and providing HR advisory services to department managers and all employees and will be reporting directly to the Manager of Human Resources.

What you will do:

Monitor and Guide the extended HR team to ensure process adherence related to new hire onboarding, change, exits etc.
Drive processes relating to the complete employee life cycle including new employee “touchpoints”, benefit orientations, performance management, internal promotion and transfer offers, leave of absences and employee departures. Conduct and analyze exit interviews and new hire feedback interviews for purposes of identifying trends and patterns, and make recommendations to improve employee engagement and retention levels
Develop and implement HR policies and projects in onboarding, talent management, organizational and employee performance, employee engagement and culture, communication, legislative compliance, etc.
Maintain knowledge of labor/union issues and best practices in order to promote positive labor relations. This includes working in union environment, understanding & managing through a CBA
Employee and Labor Relations: Communicate any HR updates to employees, act as a point of contact for employees; handle all employee relation issues and assists in counselling and corrective actions, lead workplace investigations and submit reports, respond to employee queries regarding company policies, practices, programs, and processes relating to the employee experience
Work with Operations and Health &Safety Manager in managing WSIB claims and participate in the return to work process ensuring employees transition safely into their pre-injury jobs
Supports the development, maintenance and implementation of HR Policies and Process documentation. Prepares and maintains reports, tracking key HR metrics and analytics.
Maintain HRIS system: Responsible for administering all hiring, terminating and maintenance of all employee information on the HRIS system. Conduct periodic audit of HRIS database for ensuring data accuracy.
Manage specific projects as determined by the HR Senior Leadership Team and participate in functional and cross-functional initiatives.
Maintain knowledge of progressive HR practices, continued business acumen and key trends.

Who you are:

Completion of post-secondary education in Human Resources Management.
5-7 years of progressive Human Resources experience, with a minimum of 5 years of HR experience in a Generalist role.
CHRP/CHRL designation is an asset.
Knowledge and Experience in a Unionized environment is highly preferred
Advanced knowledge and experience in MS Office especially MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with all related legislation including but not limited to E.S.A., Labour Relation Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, W.S.I.B, Human Rights Act etc.
Demonstrated excellent communication skills- both oral & written
Excellent organizational, time management and interpersonal skills are essential
Ability to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
A high attention to detail with the ability to act with discretion and confidentiality
Experience in working in a unionized environment is an asset

What you will do:

  • Providing Security Guard Services at Union Station, through operating Security Systems, monitoring and patrolling.
  • Monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, that includes responding to routine, emergency, and security & law enforcement calls.
  • Observing, investigating, and acting on possible breaches of security, fire and safety hazards, illegal entry, theft and malfunction or interruption of utilities.
  • Acting as an ambassador of the client site by providing customer service, responding to public inquiries, and performing guard tours along designated routes. Assist in the movement of visitors and staff.
  • Informing the designated authorities in the event of security, fire, or health emergencies
  • Activating fire alarm and safety systems and assisting in evacuation procedures. Escorting designated authorities, police, fire, ambulance personnel to emergency location.
  • Screening unauthorized person and physically removing person found trespassing or engaging in criminal acts or breaching the policies. Legally arrest individual and surrender same to Police as soon as possible.
  • Recording and maintaining logbook of daily activities, unusual or special occurrences and issuance of equipment to staff.
  • Receiving and recording complaints, conducting investigations, preparing incident reports, and conducting follow up investigations.
  • Performing duties such as open-up and lock-down procedures, bomb threat searches and security/life safety equipment inspections and testing
  • Performing emergency response duties in accordance with the Emergency Response Manual.

Who you are:

  • Minimum High School diploma or Grade 12 education.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of security related experience.
  • Eligible to work in Canada.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of the Criminal Code, Trespass to Property Act, 5 Steps to a proper Arrest and WHMIS.

A.S.P. is looking for Crossing Guard, who has strong sense of safety and security while providing a high-level customer service in professional and courteous manner in all interactions. Work with integrity, respect, and take responsibility of the security and safety.

What you will do:

  • Offering Cross Guard Services to the school boards in Toronto, by providing safe movement to school-age children who are walking through designated school crossing locations.
  • Observing and identifying all road hazards, use good judgement while interrupting the flow of traffic.
  • Following all traffic safety regulations.
  • Act as an ambassador of the client by providing customer service and responding to pedestrians’ questions by staying knowledgeable about the area.
  • Recording and maintaining logbook and incident report.
  • Perform emergency response duties in accordance with the Emergency Response Manual.
  • The schedule is 1.5-2 hrs in the morning, 1 hour at lunch time and 1.5 hours in the afternoon but you are paid for 7 hours daily. The start and finish time and can anywhere from 6am until 530pm.

PSA’s are required to quickly and efficiently determine eligibility requirements and stream passengers into various queues while providing an exemplary level of customer/passenger service.

PSA’s are often the “first point of contact” with passengers and their objective is to make that interaction an exceptional experience for each and every passenger.

What you will do:

  • Provide information to support the Duty Manager on shift
  • Greet Customers, provide direction, exceptional Customer Service and assistance to all passengers
  • Proactively monitor passenger flows into airport from check-in to security, into airport lounges, as well as monitor congestion points and capacity levels in all areas and notify Duty Manager of any concerns
  • Coordinate passenger flows at key areas as directed by the Duty Manager
  • Assist in queue management of PBS line-ups, pre-security.
  • Contact facilities to assist with the deployment of stanchions as required
  • Ensure pre-security amenities are stocked and ready to be deployed as required
  • Ensure Customer facing areas of the Terminal are orderly and clean (lounges tidy, cups and items picked up from tables, floors clean, etc.) promptly report deficiencies to facilities.
  • Contact facilities to supply or arrange pick-up of baggage carts
  • Practices Safety conscious behaviours and situational awareness
  • Quickly and efficiently determine eligibility requirements and stream passengers into various queues while providing superior customer service;
  • Validate/confirm passengers need and right of entry/exit to/from controlled and restricted areas;
  • Assist passengers in preparing for processes, including guiding passengers through automated systems and use of kiosks;
  • Control the backflow of passengers into controlled/restricted areas;
  • Anticipate and create memorable passenger experiences;
  • Establish effective working relationships with other Terminal service providers to ensure the availability of products/services consistent with passenger needs (i.e. wheel chairs, electric passenger carts, baggage carts, porter services, etc.);
  • Prepare Incident/Occurrence Reports for any incident or event that directly involves customer complaints/concerns, safety/security or operational issues/events;
