Job Description

Summary

Reporting to the Director, Internal Audit & Enterprise Risk Management, the IT Audit Manager will have the opportunity to work on audits, advisories and management requests covering many areas of AltaLink’s IT, OT and operations. You will be part of a team that evaluates the effectiveness of the company’s risk management, control and governance processes. Assignments will include audits and reviews of various business processes, with the aim of determining the adequacy, effectiveness and/or efficiency of existing procedures in IT/OT and other areas of the business. You will provide value-added recommendations and advice to management for improvements to operations.

Responsibilities:

Execute all aspects of risk-based IT and other audits including planning, interviews, document review and system testing, process observation and analysis.
Manage or lead a number of IT and other audits including identifying the risks and controls to the assignments and promotion of best practice methods and practices.
Report on the overall position including the aggregate impact of risks or weaknesses exposed, supporting conclusions and recommend appropriate actions to Senior Management.
Build strong relationships and work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and advise on risk and control best practices.
Work with the business to identify and document effective IT general controls as part of internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR).
Assist in the preparation of the annual audit plan and quarterly reports submitted to the Audit Committee.
Act as a leader within the audit team and provide guidance to other members of the internal audit team as it relates to IT and other audits on the plan.
Provide industry knowledge and technical expertise and coaching to Internal Auditors to build capacity and capability of the Internal Audit Team Data Analytics responsibilities.
Serve as Internal Audit’s Subject Matter Expert and team lead for all analytic techniques in order to maximize benefit and perspective to audit teams.
Develop and employ new or existing data analytics and visualization to business units as requested and provide insight and guidance on the interpretation of reported exceptions/analytic output so that appropriate actions are taken by the audit team.
Advanced knowledge of audit principles, practices and methodologies acquired through 3-5+ years of experience in an internal and/or external audit role.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 7 years working experience.
Proven ability to lead execution of audits both individually and with a team.
Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) designation, and preference for CISSP/CRISC/ CISM designation.
ISO 27001 lead auditor certification or similar experience preferred.
Knowledge of Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) and Critical Security Controls (CSC) preferred Proven proficiency in risk frameworks (COSO/COBITNIST) and ability to understand and identify risks associated with new technology.
Proven ability/experience in the above noted responsibilities.
Demonstrated knowledge of networks technology, operating systems, system development, client/server architecture, cloud and virtual machines platforms and how they interact with business processes.
Data Analytic experience and knowledge in data mining, data analytics, continuous monitoring / auditing and report preparation, leveraging tools such as SQL, ACL, Alteryx, Tableau, Microsoft Access, Excel.
3-5 years of experience identifying and testing CSOX or SOX controls in a SAP environment.
Solid business analytical skills and ability to understand complex business concepts, functions or processes, identify risks and mitigation activities, assess effectiveness of those activities and develop recommendations for issues identified.
Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to express thoughts in an organized, concise manner and listen to the issues of others in a manner that elicits cooperation and support.
Excellent decision making, problem solving and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently as well as demonstrate good team-work.
Ability to multi-task, attention to detail, strong analytical skills, healthy professional skepticism.
Ability to provide leadership, technical guidance and coaching to team members.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interface with team members and customers to promote positive customer outcomes.
Proven track record of good performance and attendance.
