The Marketing Manager / Sr. Marketing Manager, Customer Marketing plays an important revenue generating role for the Canadian P&L.  It is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of our card business innovating and driving the business forward through a variety of established offers such as credit line increases and low interest rate offers as well as optimizing and building for the future.

In this role you will work closely across a group of critical partners including credit risk, central teams, legal and Compliance to analyze, execute and optimize our proprietary lending offerings to drive maximum profit.

 Job Qualifications

Turn Analytics into Strategy – Interpret internal and external data, identify opportunities and recommend business strategy

  • Assess financials/downstream results for current, revised and new offerings

Required Skills:

Minimum 3-5 year experience in:

  • Selecting, reviewing, analyzing diverse data sets related to business performance (e.g. financial performance, business process optimization, downstream analysis)
  • Interpretation of complex data in order to develop compelling business cases
  • Proven ability to take initiative and champion a project from concept through to implementation and post implementation evaluation
  • Idea generation to strategy development excellence
  • Relationship management

This will include:

  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Ability to rally partner teams to drive results and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills with an emphasis on proposal development and presentation to internal stakeholders to senior levels

Role & Responsibilities:

As the Recruiter supporting the high volume classes, you will be responsible for strategically executing the end-to-end hiring, while ensuring superior candidate and Hiring Leader experience. You will execute the recruiting process to acquire the best talent with speed and quality. You will be a talent champion who can actively stay connected to a robust pipeline, maintain long-term relationships, and energetically sell the role and the AXP brand.

Here’s just some of what you’ll do in this role:

  • Lead and own screening, assessment, interview, and offer process activities for the regional/functional segment
  • Enact broader GTA recruitment strategy to ensure delivery of qualified and diverse talent
  • Master ops excellence by using available technologies to improve efficiency and quality to accomplish the delivery plan
  • Recommend and drive improvements to the local sourcing strategy and pipeline by actively collaborating with GTA Manager
  • Work with Hiring Leader to achieve hiring volume and headcount goals, gather key input for candidate slates, and provide feedback on candidates and influences hiring decisions
  • Update and post jobs, manage requisitions, and disposition candidate
  • Conduct first round interview, intake meetings, interview debriefs, and reviews assessments
  • Structure new offers, works with compensation team to determine appropriate package and negotiate offer
  • Partner with employee relations, legal, background check, etc.
  • Communicate proactively and in a timely manner with candidates, providing details on the selection process and Hiring Leader feedback
  • Create events and handle colleague referrals
  • Keep abreast of new hiring practices and trends in the industry
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, influencing, and problem-solving skills
  • Segment and industry-specific knowledge
  • Ability to effectively maintain relationships
  • Ability to partner with ancillary groups supporting TA processes

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of full cycle Recruitment experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience with high volume/Call Centre recruitment
  • full lifecycle, corporate recruiting or related experience; preferably with exposure to financial services or Operations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience with recruitment tools, technologies, and platforms such as Taleo, Eightfold, LinkedIn Recruiter, HireVue and/or others preferred
  • Ability to build positive relationships and collaborate with hiring leaders and candidates in an engaging and persuasive manner
  • Experience working in a compliance driven organization preferred
