Job Description

Work in collaboration with the L&D team to design, develop and deliver solutions that create an end-to-end learning experience with a focus on workshops and interactive digital delivery
Proactively identify training needs, present recommendations, and deliver on learning objectives that are driven by strategic business goals
Using a consultative approach, work with your team, subject matter experts and senior leaders across multiple business functions to deliver one consistent experience nationally
Be the customer champion when collaborating and advising collaborators in determining training needs and appropriate delivery method
Stay on top of standard methodologies/emerging industry trends in learning and development to support innovative learning experience design
Training delivery in multiple environments (Virtual, in-class, video, e-Learn)
Accountable for ensuring that training scheduling, participant enrolment, measurements/metrics and the maintenance of appropriate tracking/record keeping is complete
Coordinate training logistics (for example: facilities, materials)
Demonstrate your strong project management, content management, and design skills to develop multi-purpose learning content in areas such as self-paced and mobile learning
Find opportunities to apply data collection and feedback mechanisms throughout our learning solutions to generate data-driven, practical insights
Experience/Skills and Attributes: Do I have what it takes?

3-5 years’ experience in delivering technical learning solutions
Commercial Insurance experience is an asset
Public speaking and comfortable delivering training in front of a classroom, on MS Teams or
Ability to break down complex, technical processes into simple, logical steps
Proven track record to work independently, get results through collaborative, outcomes-focused relationships with multiple internal partners
Strong initiative to identify and address learning program needs
Strong customer focus, leadership, negotiation, and decision-making skills
Problem solving, and analytical thinking skills with ability to lead, empower, challenge and influence cross functional teams and deliver superior results in a matrixed reporting environment
Knowledge of instructional design methodology, rapid design/development methodologies, adult learning theory, research methodology, and assessment tools
Experience working with Rise 360, Articulate Storyline, Vyond and Elucidat authoring tools is an asset
Certified Training and Development Professional Designation or Adult Education Qualifications is an asset
CIP/FCIP an asset

Job Description

The Loss Assessment Unit (LAU) uses their technical expertise to accurately assess, and review claim related building damages and costs, for both emergency mitigation and structural repairs, in accordance with industry construction practices and standards in conjunction with established company protocols. As a stationary appraiser, your role is to remotely ensure an effective control environment with respect to building losses focusing on the scope, repair, quality, and accurate quantum to ensure a great customer experience.

The appraiser requires the ability to read and interpret scopes/estimates from Aviva Premiere Contractors and provide comprehensive feedback in accordance with Aviva protocols and best practices.

The role involves reviewing and ensuring compliance to company protocols for returned estimates (< $150,000.00) within Symbility / Claims Connect (Estimate Review Process) and have a good working understanding of the Xactware/Xactimate suite of software.

This position is in support of Claims Operations, while adhering to the protocols established and handled by Aviva Vendor Relations and the Loss Assessment Unit.

What you’ll do:
This role is accountable for ensuring accurate building related costs and increasing efficiencies while maintaining a high level of superior customer service.

Staying ahead of emerging construction practices, standards, and materials.

The role requires an extensive background in the ability to read and interpret scope / estimates.

Complete desk audit reviews within the established Service Level Agreement.

Maintain established Service Level Agreement for desk audit reviews.

To perform remote reviews of insured supplied estimates to ascertain accurate costing

This role is accountable for the timely and accurate reporting.

Writing estimates and establishing scope using Mobile Claims software.

Interpreting Engineer drawings, specifications, and recommendations.

Interpreting Hygienist reports and recommendations.

Collaborating with Specialists, Engineers, and provide thorough feedback and establish action as required in accordance with Aviva protocols and best practices.

To accurately and efficiently log all review activity in established database

Have the ability to work collaboratively with all partners to build positive working relationships

What you’ll bring:
Minimum 5 years Residential and Commercial Appraisal experience in a senior position, including in-depth knowledge of both commercial and residential building construction practices.

Minimum 5 years of CoreLogic Mobile Claims and Xactimate scoping and estimating experience at a senior level.

Validated understanding of the residential and commercial construction industries.

Strong knowledge of claims adjusting practices.

Problem solving and analytical skills balanced with strong decision-making ability.

Excellent communication skills required to effectively articulate complex issues to senior management, colleagues, business leaders and external partners.

Extremely strong Customer Service skills.

Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook skills

Excellent time management and organization skills

Ability to multitask, and achieve team and individual targets

Ability to work under pressure and meet timelines

Bilingualism French/English is an asset

Insurance/claims background or experience in the P&C industry is an asset.

Post-Secondary education or working toward completion of the Insurance Institute program (CIP / FCIP)

Water drying/mold remediation training courses, IICRC, etc.
