About the role

We’re looking for a Service Specialist to join our growing team!

We are looking for highly motivated individuals to assume the role of Service Specialist, working in our office, located in Edmonton, AB. This position opens the door to great opportunities within the Insurance Industry upon successful completion of required provincial licensing course and exam. The successful candidate will be able to work a flexible shift schedule of days, evenings and/or weekends.

This is a full-time role that is call centre based, with rotating 7 hour shifts covering our operating hours Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm.

What you’ll do here:

Working in a fast-paced computerized environment, the Service Specialist, reporting to the Operations Leader, will be responsible for servicing our customers. This will include the successful completion of required provincial licensing course and exam; as well as providing advice on Home, Auto, & Travel insurance products, coverage, and increasing customer awareness of the benefits and features of Johnson products.

Cross selling or upselling Home, Auto & Travel products to existing clients
Processing insurance transactions following underwriting guidelines to meet quality expectations
Accepting payments and processing changes in payment methods following standard accounting principles
Handling phone and email inquiries and requests from existing clients

Qualifications

What you bring to the table:

1-2 years of experience in office environment is essential for this role as are, excellent client service skills, organization and communication skills
Demonstrate a basic knowledge of clerical and administrative office requirements and computer skills to be able to perform each essential job requirement.
Preference will be given to those who have a post-secondary certificate or diploma in a Secretary, Administration, or Business Management Program.
Bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset
RIBO licenses preferred – if not licensed, expectation is you will obtain your license within 2 months.
