CABLE PULLER

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Cable Puller is responsible for the placement and dismantling of copper and fiber optic cables. The Role

The Bell Residential and Small Business (BRSB) Channel Reporting and Analytics Team is looking for a highly motivated and skilled individual with solid management, reporting and data analysis abilities to fill the role of Reporting and Business Analytics.

The Specialist will participate in the design, development, testing and maintenance aspects of channel reporting applications and processes.  The successful candidate is also accountable for participating in BI activities related to the collection, review, cleansing, quality and reporting of key performance metrics across multiple sales channels.

Job duties / Accountabilities:

  • Development & validation of queries and report templates to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Ensure data integrity by investigating anomalies in reported numbers from variety of sources throughout the organization.  This includes working with IT to understand any system issues or outages, as well as investigating adjustments and updates.
  • Contribute to the development of improved processes by means of statistical analyses and appropriate recommendations.
  • Provide expert data retrieval support for channel performance reporting.  This includes understanding the business requirements, intended audiences, as well as providing guidance and knowledge of the data elements.
  • Development, testing and implementation of new reports to be used for channel performance reporting.

Critical Qualifications/Competencies :

  • University Bachelor’s degree in Applied mathematics / Statistics, Computer Science or equivalent work experience, which ensures an equivalent level of competency (2-5 years)
  • Strong technical skills with all data driven technologies (TERADATA, SAS, SQL, Oracle)
  • Expert level in MS Excel and VBA
  • Strong mathematical and statistical skills
  • 2-5 years of analytical and problem solving experience with attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines & handle changing priorities
  • Self motivated team player with strong work ethics
  • Demonstrated technical skills in MicroStrategy considered an asset
  • Experience with Bell Systems an asset
