Job Description

Under direction from the Senior Manager, Communications, works collaboratively with business/group and stakeholders to assess communications needs, recommend communications plans & solutions, secure necessary approvals, and create/deliver communication solutions that effectively support and address communications needs. Sources content and feedback, assesses information and translates thoughts into effective communications solutions. Delivers high quality communications solutions that target audiences can easily access, understand and action that are alignment with company standards.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal clients.
Demonstrate strength in writing and editing.
Create, manage and execute communication strategies for a variety of stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple projects with changing priorities.
Good judgement and interpersonal skills – with the ability to communicate with a variety of internal partners.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Working knowledge of financial services.
Computer literate – comfortable with technology and the use of Office suite of programs, as well as SharePoint and Salesforce.
Client service orientation – with a passion for meeting and exceeding expectations of partners.
Results driven with a proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to take complex information and communicate it clearly and concisely based on the needs of the audience.
Makes recommendations and /or assists in solving problems to ensure communication solutions are implemented.
Gathers content from multiple sources and develops communications for various channels, including email communications, intranets and newsletters.
Supports business/group change management activities from a communications perspective.
Recommends, develops and executes communication plans and solutions based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs, and in alignment with an overarching communication strategy.
Provides communications advice and guidance to assigned business/group, on communication principles/programs/approaches, on effective ways to communicate (e.g. message development, vehicle selection, etc.), and on implementation of solutions.
Proactively collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to provide business context in the design, development and implementation of communication solutions.
Coordinates, distributes and publishes communication solutions.
Remains alert to new trends, tools and methods of communication, and makes recommendations on their application.
Stays up to date on company and industry trends by forming and fostering relationships with employees across the company, so as to identify newsworthy items for communication and dissemination.
Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:

Degree in Journalism or Communications, preferred.
2 – 5 years of experience in a communications-related position
Financial Industry credentials would be an asset (e.g. CSC, Mutual Funds etc.)
Writing and editing skills – In-depth

Ability to take technical and complex information and distill it to key messages that make sense for the audience.
Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience.

Mandate:

As a member of a high-performing communications team, prepare, schedule and execute communications strategies that support the needs of BMO Private Wealth. The successful candidate will play an active role and work closely with the assigned partners to develop communications, prepare fulsome communications plans, respond to real time message requests; while contributing to the overall strategy of Private Wealth’s Communications team. Communications development will require active participation in briefings in order to lead the communications process, including: writing, editing and project managing communication initiatives to support a broad range of initiatives and activities across multiple audiences and channels. The successful candidate will have experience in preparing communications that are intuitive and instructional, a strong commitment to excellence, the ability to partner with a diverse group of business partners, and experience in communication planning and execution. Experience in the financial services industry is a definite asset. This position requires skills in the areas of leadership, strategy, communications, project management, decision-making acumen, negotiation and problem solving, while demonstrating personal integrity and honesty.

Job Description

Customer Shared Services

Provides loan closing and portfolio monitoring support in a professional and timely manner. Facilitates the loan closing process, commitment management and the booking and accounting of the loan portfolio ensuring all required policies, guidelines and standards are met. Delivers exceptional customer service by providing responsive, accurate, consistent, knowledgeable services and support.

  • Acts as a subject matter expert and first contact for escalation.
  • Provides advice and guidance to assigned business/group on implementation of solutions.
  • Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Supports change management of varying scope and type; tasks typically focused on execution and sustainment activities.
  • Completes administrative activities to ensure the smooth operation of the unit; including scanning and filing documents as required.
  • Executes routine tasks such as service requests, transactions, queries etc. within relevant service level agreements.
  • Processes more complex transactions and activities.
  • Resolves discrepancies/ exceptions for mostly routine situations, some may require further analysis, or escalates as required.
  • Organizes work information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Supports the development of tools and delivery of training focused on delivering business results.
