Occupational Therapist | You must be registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO). You must possess a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (or a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy plus a Master’s degree in OT, Rehab Sciences or a related field), combined with a preferred three (3) years of experience working with individuals who have a serious mental illness. Security Guard | The successful candidate must have Grade 12 education and the completion of a 2 year recognized Community College Law Enforcement Program. Must provide documentation of a clean Criminal Record and must be licensed under the Private Security and Investigative Services Act, 2005. You must have 6 months – 1 year security experience. Information Specialist | The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social science or health related field combined with 2 years of related experience. Experience working in a health care environment and with telemedicine is required. Social Worker | The successful candidate will possess a Master’s in Social Work from a recognized Social Work program, be a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and be eligible for an academic cross appointment. Formal training and demonstrated knowledge in behavioural treatment, concurrent disorders, harm reduction and evidence based treatment models (motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioural therapy etc) are critical, with three (3) or more years of specialized clinical experience working with complex and challenging youth within this age group and their families is required. Strong skills in group facilitation, individual and family counseling, clinical assessment and treatment are essential. Knowledge of community resources in substance abuse and mental health treatment within the youth sector is needed. Position Description:
The Institute for Mental Health Policy Research (IMHPR) at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) has an outstanding tradition of combining scientific rigour and practical relevance. IMHPR is currently seeking a full-time, contract (12 months) one (1) Research Coordinator with experience in quantitative research to support a Senior Scientist leading a research project focused on promoting mental health knowledge and access among K-12 public education workers from a trauma-informed lens. In this role, the successful candidate will play an integral role in investigating the effectiveness of a school intervention model to enhance the capacity to address mental health challenges among school staff. The Research Coordinator will work collaboratively with researchers and a multidisciplinary team in the coordination of the project across multiple research and pilot sites across Canada. The Research Coordinator will contribute significantly to the monitoring of the project work plan, the achievement of key deliverables including data collection, and support the implementation and evaluation of the intervention. In addition to overall project coordination, specific responsibilities will include monitoring the budget and assisting with financial reporting; preparing REB submissions; liaising with education and clinical intervention experts as well as national research team members; coordinating baseline and follow-up data collection; monitoring ongoing activities related to the intervention; monitoring and maintaining schedules and deadlines; assisting with analyses, and report writing; conducting literature reviews; and scheduling team meetings and dissemination activities. The successful candidate must be self-motivated and be able to work both independently and as part of a team to support the completion of the project. The Research Coordinator will support a healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements. This position is located at 33 Ursula Franklin Street.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a Masters degree in psychology, public health, or related disciplines and two (2) years related research experience with quantitative research. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mental health research and evaluation. Previous experience in the coordination of complex multi-site projects; program evaluation; liaising with diverse stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams; completion of research ethics board applications; primary data collection; and advanced statistical analyses and relevant software for this purpose are required (e.g., SPSS, R, STATA). Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required. Previous experience working with education professionals or conducting research in school settings, and some experience working on qualitative studies are also required. The position requires excellent oral and written communication skills; superior interpersonal, organizational and time-management skills; creative problem solving skills; and superior attention to detail. Bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in a second language would be an asset.
