Job Description

Overview:

Reporting to the Community Oncology Program Manager, the Primary Care Coordinator’s main purpose is to support activities related to education and engagement of primary care providers throughout Manitoba. The Primary Care Coordinator will be responsible for planning, coordinating, facilitating and evaluating the delivery of professional development activities and strategies. These initiatives support and promote shared care and continuity of care between CCMB and Primary Care. Some travel within Manitoba may be required.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Baccalaureate degree in Health Sciences, Social Sciences, or public administration. A combination of equivalent education and experience may be considered
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in program planning, instructional design or event planning
  • Supervisory or leadership skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of adult education and professional development principles
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, liaise with, health professionals across the province
  • Experience in the continuing education of health professionals
  • Must be skilled in working with the internet, Windows platforms and Microsoft programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms and Planner
  • Must be able to work in independent and team environments
  • Experience using web-based communications and video-conferencing, such as MB-Telehealth and Microsoft Teams/Zoom.
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle when required
  • Available to work occasional evenings and weekends
  • Must have satisfactory employment record
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada

Will be assessed during the interview process:

  • Must have strong problem solving, critical thinking, and organizational and time management skills
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills, including public speaking and presenting, as well as strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated facilitation and presentation skills
  • Must be able to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with all levels of staff, the general public, and various stakeholders and partners

Preferred:

  • Experience working with communities and rural areas
  • Education and/or experience in project management
  • Ability to speak French

Asset:

  • Ability to speak French

Overview:

Reporting to the Volunteer Services Resource Coordinator, the Volunteer Assistant supports the administration of all volunteer programs and operations at the CancerCare Manitoba.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma – Manitoba Standards required.
  • Related post-secondary education and/or training in Volunteer Management required.
  • An equivalent of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in volunteer management, preferably in a health care or social service setting.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
  • Experience with record keeping and maintaining data and reporting.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Satisfactory employment record.
  • Must be able to legally work in Canada.

Will be assessed during the interview process:

  • Excellent written communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Ability to speak French

Additional Information:

Overview:

Reporting to the Manager of Finance and under supervision of the Payroll Supervisor, the Payroll Clerk Administrator is responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of the biweekly payroll schedule in accordance with the policies and procedures of CCMB, applicable union agreements/professional agreements and governmental rules and regulations. The incumbent provides relief for the Payroll Officer and will perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Certificate or Business Diploma in accounting or related area or a suitable combination of education.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Payroll and electronic scheduling preferably in healthcare
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Satisfactory employment record
  • Must be entitled to legally work in Canada
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally, and in writing.
  • An aptitude for detail and ability to plan and adjust to variable workload
  • Must be customer oriented with strong interpersonal skills
  • Effective organization and problem-solving techniques
