Principal Accountabilities:
Perform the daily operations of the facility safely, efficiently and profitably.
Performing facility operations such as receiving and shipping of seed, fert and chemical.
Ensure proper handling and storage of seed and crop inputs products
Basic maintenance and operator care of equipment
Maintain inventory records, perform counts and investigate discrepancies.
Provide excellent customer service and engaging with team members
Coordinate operations, support sales and customer service activities
Administrate transactions for shipping, receiving and customer payments.
Collaborate with the Sales and Agronomy team to execute on customer sales and product forecasting
Portray professional image, both personally and throughout the location.
Liaison with internal and external supplier contacts
Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Understanding and adhere to all safety rules and regulations
Lead safety related activities for the facility: safety training, maintain regulatory and compliance requirements.
Conduct regular site inspections, hold monthly safety meetings with staff to review procedures and safety awareness issues.
Other duties as assigned under the direction of the Retail Manager and Plant Manger
Required Qualifications:
Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
Must be 18 years or older
Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
Basic use of a computer
Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
Possess a valid Canadian Class 5 driver’s license and be able to safely operate a 5 ton delivery van
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays with advance notice.
Basic mechanical aptitude
Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), such as SAP
Working knowledge of Microsoft office software, with an emphasis on Excel and Word

Identify and correct any problems found in machines, equipment or processes in order to facilitate production
Maintain, repair and overhaul plant production equipment, building and grounds
Provide quick response to trouble calls by shift supervisors and or operators/technicians
Assist Operating Engineers in maintenance of plant utilities
Perform Weekly Preventive Maintenance Walkthroughs / Inspections / and Repairs on production equipment as necessary
Ability to put into Practice, corrective actions to effectively address reliability issues related to the above area
Participate in CQN’s RELIABILITY/PREDICTIVE MAINTENANCE (PdM). Willing to become trained and proficient as a
Reliability technician in the following areas: Airborne Ultrasound, Thermography and Oil/Fluid analysis
Additional Responsibilities:
Support projects include working on a project team in the design, installation and commissioning
Maintain complete & accurate records of shift logs, maintenance inspections and meter readings
Ensure smooth, efficient communication to the next team at shift changes
Actively finding new and improved ways of completing tasks
Participate collaboratively in process improvement teams as required
Any other duties as assigned
$42.23 per hour with overtime additional as per business needs. Well-rounded benefit package including health/dental, paid vacations etc.
Shift: This is a Rotating 12 hr day/night shift. One week days and one week nights within a 3 week cycle and 5 days off in between.
Requirements:

Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old
Red Seal Millwright Certificate
Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/close valves, shoveling, pounding with hammer and work in confined spaces
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold
Must be able to read/write English
High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to work overtime
Ability to work holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts
At least 2 years of experience in production related work
Must be able to perform maintenance trades including rigging systems, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems, mechanical maintenance and hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Preferred:
Forklift certified
Class 4 Power Engineering Certificate (Additional $1.50/hour incentive)
Basic computer skills
Able to perform maintenance trades including machinist, welding, pipe fitting, and fabrication
Previous experience with MRO (Maintenance Repair Ops) and/or MRP (Material Requirement Planning) – Ability to work in elevated areas
