Job Description

You will initially work full time hours at a nearby Costco Warehouse location for a number of weeks supporting CIBC Costco Mastercard clients. At the end of your time at the Costco Warehouse, you will work at the banking centre location at which you were hired.

What you’ll be doing

During your time at the Costco warehouse, you will greet clients at high visibility locations (e.g. entrance) providing Costco credit card activation support and handling of frequently asked questions from cardholders/prospects (e.g. digital advocacy). Following this interim period of time, you’ll work in a fast-paced Banking Centre.

As a Client Engagement Representative, you will be the first point of contact for most clients entering the banking centre and will engage clients in conversation to understand their immediate needs and identify opportunities to address them. You’ll use your knowledge of financial services products to help clients with their day-to-day banking needs and introduce them to the appropriate team member.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. To successfully perform the work, you’ll be on-site full-time.

How you’ll succeed

Client Engagement – Help clients manage their accounts and products. Focus on each client experience and make every interaction meaningful. Connect clients to the right CIBC team members who can help them reach their goals.
Problem Solving – Listen, ask questions, and put yourself in the client’s shoes. Act like an owner by taking accountability for client issues, and know when to lean on others to build a better solution together.
Leveraging Technology – Become a technology expert. Share your knowledge by introducing clients to our mobile banking applications, assisting them to better manage their banking needs.
