Job Description
Candidates for Group Fitness, Yoga, or Pilates must possess the following minimum certifications:
- For Group Fitness Instructors: : one of the following current Group Fitness Certification: BCRPA, Canfitpro, CFES, certifications
- For Yoga Instructors: 200+ Hour Yoga Certification
- For Pilates Instructors : Pilates Certification
In addition to a valid group fitness certification from one of the above, we are seeking those with experience and specialty certifications in the following areas:
- Indoor Cycling
- BARRE
- TRX
- Older Adult
- Osteofit/Get Up and Go
Fitness Instructor Level 1 – 3 wage: $29.10 – $36.70 per hour
Yoga Instructor Level 1 – 2 wage: $36.40 – $41.60 per hour
Pilates Instructor Level 1 – 2 wage: $35.00 – $45.00 per hour

Job Description

This is public contact and moderately complex clerical work, involving organizing and monitoring the efficient operation of office support services in a recreation facility. The work also entails supervising and participating in the work of one or more subordinates; verifying and recording cash receipts; answering a variety of enquiries related to facility programs, rules and regulations; organizes, updates and maintains a variety of departmental files, records and procedural documents a recreation facility including such areas as reception and registration, facility bookings, centralized telephone registration and computerized telephone system, or all office support services in a facility. Assigns, supervises, schedules, reviews and participates in the work of one or more subordinates engaged in clerical and cashiering tasks; participates in, training and performance evaluation of subordinates. Performs other related work as required.
Qualifications
include completion of Grade 12 including or supplemented by commercial, and word processing courses; sound related office, cash handling experience including some supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Sound knowledge of computer terminal, cash register and cash handling procedures, principles, and practices. Sound knowledge of business English, spelling, arithmetic and punctuation. Sound knowledge of the needs of various community groups and individuals as they relate to recreation facilities. Ability to organize and monitor office support services in a recreation facility. Ability to assign, supervise, review, train and participate in the work of one or more clerical and/or cashier subordinates. Ability to deal effectively with the public, staff and officials in supplying information and assistance related to facility operations. Driver’s License for the Province of British Columbia may be required for some positions.
Schedule
Tuesday to Saturday from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
