About The Opportunity:

In this exciting and challenging role, you will be responsible for supporting the RCMP through the preparation and management of electronic files for submission to Crown Counsel and other purposes. The work involves compiling and linking a variety of reports, documents, audio and video files and other electronic files into an acceptable format in accordance with a Memorandum of Understanding between the Attorney General’s Office and RCMP E Division. In this position, you may be required to give evidence in court. At times, in this role, you will be exposed to extremely graphic and disturbing information and visual materials. When crime investigations warrant, you could be working in extremely stressful situations under significant deadlines. Quality and accuracy of data are of paramount importance.

About Your Background:

The successful candidate holds at least a one-year college certificate in Computer Information Systems or a related discipline, along with two years of related experience in a database support role. Previous experience in a police environment and knowledge of police investigative procedures are considered assets. Considerable knowledge of database principles and practices is required. About The Opportunity:

As the Administrative Coordinator 1 – Risk & Procurement you will be responsible for reception and administrative support for the Division as well as for providing consistent, professional service to clients, outside agencies and other City divisions. You will coordinate the Division’s financial administration including processing and reconciling items such as requisitions, payments and divisional purchase cards, perform time entry and assist with budget preparation and monitoring. You will also review and format request for proposals and various types of legal correspondence as well as maintain all procurement and risk registries.

About Your Background:

You are a Grade 12 graduate and have completed a one-year college certificate program in business or a related field, including accounting courses, taken from a publicly-accredited post-secondary institution recognized in the BC Transfer Guide. You have a minimum of three years of experience in an administrative position preferably in the legal field or with a public sector agency or large corporation. Your strong attention to detail has made you adept at preparing documentation, doing data entry, processing accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling direct purchase cards. An excellent communicator, you are committed to customer service excellence and have the ability to prioritize a heavy workload with little supervision. Experience working with a computerized procurement system would be considered an asset.Why You Will Love Working for our Risk & Procurement team at the City of Prince George:
