Job Description

We are looking to expand our team! Dehumidified Air Solutions, the leading manufacturer of indoor pool and grow room dehumidifiers in North America, is seeking a Recruiter at our Ottawa, ON location.

Position Summary

The Recruiter is responsible for meeting hiring goals by filling open positions with qualified talent. The Recruiter will oversee the entire recruitment process from sourcing and screening candidates, facilitating the interview process with managers, negotiating offers, and supporting the onboarding process.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and facilitate the entire recruitment process for all departments and locations (both Canada and US).

  • Source passive and active candidates from Canada and the Unites States and proactively maintain a qualified talent pool
  • Meet with hiring managers and understand their department’s recruitment needs and candidate qualifications
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to create job descriptions
  • Post job openings on all recruitment platforms
  • Understand the training/education needs for hiring managers to develop skills related to recruitments (screening, interview techniques, etc.)
  • Supply managers with candidate information, conduct position specific screening calls, schedule and perform in-person and virtual interviews
  • Conduct reference checks
  • Understand and comply with employment equity regulations in all regions
  • Present offers and participate in negotiations
  • Participate in the onboarding process, support new employees, and ensure full integration into the Dehumidified Air Solutions culture
  • Conduct follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation
  • Track and report on the turnover and retention metrics
  • Assist the HR team with strategic planning

Education and Experience Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in recruitment
  • Experience in ADP-Workforce Now is an asset
  • Experience screening candidates and conducting reference checks
  • Familiarity with talent search platforms (Indeed, Glassdoor, LinkedIn)

Job Description

We are looking to expand our team! Dehumidified Air Solutions, the leading manufacturer of indoor pool and grow room dehumidifiers in North America, is seeking a Master Scheduler at our Ottawa, ON location.

Position Summary

The Master Scheduler will be responsible for the creation, implementation, and maintenance of the production schedules of the AG Product family for the Ottawa and Montreal plants.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain Production Plan according to sales forecast and upper management considerations as determined by the SOP process
  • Support the customer by conducting Production Schedule reviews
  • Develop the master schedule of the production of goods (MPS). This schedule is created after an in-depth audit of specifications, capacity, and availability of materials
  • Maintain communications with Sales and other company stakeholders to coordinate and control manufacturing schedules to ensure that goods are produced efficiently and within the required deadline
  • Consult with Plant production and provide flexibility in being able to meet rush orders without affecting the continuity of regular orders
  • Monitor and follow up with production to ensure schedule execution and report on suspected bottleneck activities. This function could be accomplished during the schedule review process
  • Perform several types of reports describing the main activities of the departments
  • Create and maintain detailed and balanced schedules for manufacturing
  • Make suggestions for improvement
  • Using Excel and our ERP System, schedule the manufacturing jobs and track their progress through internal and external work centers
  • Establish priority lists and resolve conflicts in priorities. Liaise regularly with manufacturing teams as a primary support
  • Monitor key metrics to ensure manufacturing performance and the timely closure of work orders
  • Prepare for and participate in daily production meetings
  • Resolve daily problems through analysis and troubleshooting of issues associated with the key metrics
  • Define and follow-up action plans to improve lead-times and bottlenecks
  • Participate in and support continuous improvement activities and initiatives
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time

Education and Experience Qualifications

  • Diploma in supply chain is an asset
  • Certification in APICS an asset
  • Knowledge of VSM, KANBAN, Lean, Continuous improvement, Scheduling and Follow-up, Measuring KPIs, Excel, and ERP systems is an asset
  • 3-5 years of experience in production and inventory management is an asset
