Responsibilities & Tasks
Under the authority of the quality assurance director, the quality assurance assistant – project ensures that the quality system is updated in relation to new projects. He ensures follow-ups in the factory in connection with the work and installation of equipment.
Carry out follow-ups in the factory during the work and installation of equipment.
Inspect equipment during purchases or modifications to ensure that they meet regulatory requirements.
Participate in the design of new equipment in collaboration with the project team.
Participate in project meetings.
Review the specifications of new equipment and construction materials and approve them.
Participate in the development and updating of documents for quality control;
Develop and deliver training;
Comply with CFIA regulatory requirements;
Collaborate in the maintenance of SQF;
Participate in laboratory activities as needed;
Perform any other related tasks as requested by superiors.
Requested skills
Bachelor’s degree in food science and technology or other relevant training;
1 year of relevant experience.

Mandate:
Under the supervision of the assistant production manager, the incumbent will be responsible for planning, organizing and controlling production according to the required quantity/quality standards and for supervising and mobilizing the employees of his work team in the achievement of common objectives.
Hours: Saturday and Sunday daytime. The shift begins between 6:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. in the morning. Main tasks :

Ensure that the equipment on the established list is washed;

Ensure product quality at the various stages of production;
Make the link between the day shift and the evening shift;
Plan the production of his shift;
Issue maintenance orders as needed;
Enforce work procedures and techniques and see to their improvement;
See to eliminate losses of all kinds;
Ensure the proper functioning of equipment and make adjustments if necessary;
Calculate time cards and submit them to the production manager;
