Main Purpose

Senior Brand Manager, Marketing for the Beyond Beer portfolio.  Responsible for the Portfolio Strategy, Brand Positionings, Core Creative Idea, Visual Brand Identity, Communication, Activation and Innovation Plans.  Objective is to drive profitable growth for all Brands in Beyond Beer across Canada. 

Responsibilities

  • Drive portfolio growth across many different liquid segments: Hard Seltzers, Hard Teas, Coolers, Canned Cocktails, etc
  • Help define Portfolio Strategy and Brand Positioning, Core Creative Idea and Visual Brand Identify for all Beyond Beer brands
  • Develop and Execute Product Innovation, Connections 3Ps, Brand Annual Plan and National Game Plan for all Beyond Beer Brands
  • Lead and Brief the Integrated Marketing Communications, Develop and Select the Ideas, Commercialize the plans and complete the Commercial Action Statements.
  • Develop and coach direct reports to foster engagement and retention
  • Build strong agency relationships
Job Qualification
  • A University Degree in Business or related field
  • Minimum 6-8 years of packaged goods experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years brand management experience
  • Well-developed creative skills in particular TV, leading the creative process from brief to launch, media planning, promo campaigns, developing and creating a message for the brand
  • Well-developed business acumen, financial discipline, project management and negotiation skills with strong communication & presentation skills
  • Strategic thinker with ability to develop plans that will drive results in the short and long term with ability to mentor, develop and coach a team to ultimate performance
  • Strong influencing and communication skills – both internally and externally, with ability to develop strong relationships with impact and influence
  • Demonstrated leadership in developing and managing diverse team across broad scope
  • Strong understanding of regional route to market is an asset
  • Experience in alc bev (particularly on RTD, Wine and/or spirits) will be an asset.

Job Description
  • Accountable for ensuring company strategy is in compliance with regulation – works with corporate to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Responsible for the review of and adherence to Control Policies.
  • Responsible for the communication, execution and education of the control policies within the organization – lead point of contact for the education of functional leaders
  • Provide support to the business to ensure consistency with Group accounting policies and relevant generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Support various ad hoc requests from the business (e.g. Public Affairs, Treasury, Internal Audit, Sales, Distribution, etc.)
  • Responsible for ensuring continued compliance with/reporting of internal control policies/requirements and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX)
  • Liaising with internal and external auditors to provide support for internal controls and SOX assessments, to address any internal audit issues that have been noted, and to provide/implement process improvement suggestions if applicable
Job Qualification
  • University degree required; professional accounting designation preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting/finance or in an internal control function
  • Strong analytical skills with finance and control background
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and constructive working relations with people
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. 
  • Knowledge of SAP processes is considered an asset
  • Fluency in French is an asset
