The role

We are looking for a self-driven Product Manager to join the LowestRates.ca team. The ideal candidate has a passion for building and adapting products that create an exceptional customer experience and strives to change the way consumers view and use personal financial products.

Your focus

  • Developing a robust understanding of customers’ needs using customer feedback and other quantitative/qualitative analysis, and translating those insights into product enhancements.
  • Performing analysis of competitors and industry trends to glean best practices and identify areas of improvement for our products.
  • Collaborating with vendors and internal stakeholders (sales, development, and design teams) by coordinating, negotiating and selling ideas that translate into effective product enhancements.
  • Working with other product managers and the management team to maintain the product roadmap, prioritizing requests from multiple stakeholders, and scheduling releases for product enhancements and bug fixes.
  • Identifying and understanding key metrics that track product success to guide areas of focus and decision-making.
  • Testing new features and utilizing learnings to continuously improve products with a focus on conversion rate optimization.
  • Auditing and updating website assets and user acceptance testing of any scheduled updates and releases

Your core strengths

  • 3-5+ years of experience in a tech, financial, or customer-facing role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with web analytics, SEO, and conversion rate optimization.
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Looker is an asset.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with rapidly changing priorities.
  • Extremely detail-oriented with the ability to write strong specifications, but able to step back and see the big picture.
  • Comfortable in making business decisions with limited information, resolving challenging issues, and providing timely escalations.
  • Resilience and high level of enthusiasm to make a difference

The role

Are you a self-driven analytics expert? We are looking for a talented all-things-data guru to identify, extract and transform large quantities of transactional data to identify new opportunities and help us solve complex business problems. This role is responsible for providing all facets of the business with data on web trends and consumer browsing behavior. You are well versed in creating reports and finding intuitive and informative ways to present your findings to Business Leaders. You are not afraid to insert yourself into projects and processes and use your data lens to provide constructive feedback.

Your focus

  • Provide accurate reports, dashboards and insights to Business Leaders to help make critical business decisions and look for areas of improvement.
  • Be the “Voice of Data” and provide constructive feedback on new and existing projects/processes to ensure that results are measurable and that benchmarks are hit.
  • Support other areas of the business through data insights and general problem-solving.
  • Become a subject matter expert in the core business – you can’t offer insight without knowing the business.

Your core strengths

 

  • Strong knowledge of Excel SQL , and Google Analytics.
  • Experience in Looker, Tag Manager and/or Data Studio is an asset.
  • Ability to transform high level business requirements into measurable KPIs and reports.
  • Ability to work autonomously without much guidance.
  • Comfortable making decisions using supporting data but also in situations where things are more ambiguous or less clearly defined.
  • Ability to break down complex issues into manageable pieces and then work with various teams to address each piece.
  • Solid understanding of how data is collected, processed and presented to end-users.
  • Strong story-telling ability both with and without supporting data.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to quickly identify key revenue/efficiency levers.
  • Strong ability to prioritize.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
