Role Summary

This position involves working as a member of a team in the day to day manufacturing of assembling products, and includes meeting all quality, safety and productivity objectives as set out by Windsor Modules.

Key Responsibilities

•    Operate various machines involved in the assembly and testing of parts by inspecting and inserting appropriate components, activating machine, receiving and inspecting assembled parts and placing it in  the appropriate location
•    May rotate to and operate all machines in assembly
•    May be required to hand assemble pieces or components as required
•    Carries out quality control inspections on all assembled parts by machine or other methods as instructed
•    Follow ODS described at required work stations
•    Uphold 5S standard for continuous improvement
•    Performs all duties in accordance with  TS16949 and ISO 14001
•    Performs other duties as required

Role Summary

Maintains production and quality by ensuring all production and other mechanical equipment is properly maintained and in peak operating condition.

Key Responsibilities

Setup and operate to prescribed tolerances lathes, milling, grinding, drilling, sawing, welding and boring machines

Using a variety of industrial equipment, tools and machinery, handles repairs and maintenance of plant production and other related equipment.

Monitor, identify and respond promptly to signs of malfunction in machinery such as changes in performance, temperature fluctuations, sounds or smells usage; perform troubleshooting for production machinery

Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual inspections, listening for irregular noises and conducting scheduled testing as needed.

Report all findings using eMaint software and tablet.

Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece of equipment

Read and comply with work orders concerning service, modification or installation of machinery

Keep work area clean and perform all work in a safe manner

Work effectively with other team members when required

Key Qualifications/Requirements

Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems and tools.  Journeyman’s papers as an industrial millwright/mechanic.  Welding experience in MIG, TIG and stick welding.  Industrial machine repair.  Grade 12 education or equivalent. CWB (4 position certification). License preferred. Ability to read drawings, blueprints specifications and manuals. High degree of mechanical aptitude and complete understanding of mechanical and electrical procedures. Candidate must be able to read and write English in order to communicate successfully and safely with coworkers. Maintenance mechanic must also have sound computer skills, including knowledge of common software and use.

Polycon Industries is looking for an Electrical Engineer who has a strong interest in an automotive manufacturing environment dealing with power distribution, contractor coordination, and facilities management. The individual must be a P.ENG and willing to pursue their CEM to take on all energy management projects in the building and work with Save On Energy to qualify project for incentives. The individual must be competent in creating and modifying single line diagram up to 13.8kV and working with substation equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for plant wide electrical project work as assigned (from 24V to 13.8kV)
• Prior experience and knowledge of dry type transformers
• Relay coordination and troubleshooting experience
• Coordinate all electrical activities in the building including afterhours support if needed
• Responsible for coordinating plant wide shut down and start up activities
• Maintain Polycon high voltage switchgear and cogeneration
• Participate and follow electrical change process
• Assistance to maintenance and production department’s electrical problems
• Procurement for all area readiness work in paint and assembly departments
• Liaising with outside suppliers and energy authorities
• Maintain and enforce Polycon arc flash standards
• Controls Engineering projects as assigned
• Maintain and create plant single line drawing updates
• Verify outside contractor studies & recommendation
• Initiate and execute Continuous Improvements
• Initiate RFQs and RFPs for all electrical portions of ongoing jobs and quoted business
• Manage energy projects to meet annual energy conservation goals
• Manage facilities budget and capital process
• Perform other duties as assigned

Key Qualifications/Requirements

• Excellent communication skills (written and oral, in English)
• Must be a graduate Electrical Engineer registered in Ontario – with a P.Eng Designation
• CEM designation is an asset
• Minimum of 5 year experience actively working in the Industrial Electrical Engineering environment in the
Province of Ontario
• Prior experience in relay coordination and protection equipment
• Heavily oriented to Control and instrumentation with Allen Bradley PLC knowledge and capabilities
