Job Description

Position Summary
We are looking for a Product Development Specialist based out of our Sterling Road Factory reporting into the Technical Application Group Manager. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and introducing new products and processes within the Sterling Road Confectionery Factory, working in close collaboration with Marketing, Product Commercialization, QA, Production, Engineering, and other functions, while taking into consideration compliance with Nestlé and external standards. Also, co-manufacture and inter-market supply (IMS) projects. Also, he/she will support technology and knowledge transfer to factory on projects and initiatives related to the product & processes, and provide technical assistance to the factory using product and process expertise.

A day in the life of a Product Development Specialist:
Support the execution and delivery of Confectionery I&R business strategy for the Market.
Manage the development and introduction of new products and processes within the factory, from idea to post launch.
Manage technical projects and support factory and marketing on improvement and savings projects related to products, processes, and technologies.
Support co-manufacture and inter-market supply (IMS) projects and product development. (I2L projects)
Be the local guardian of product, process, ingredients standards. (recipe, ingredient specs., etc.)
Provide technical support for technical assistance requests from the factory.
Provide expertise for product and processes to enable manufacturing excellence.
Concept and sales samples creation; benchtop or industrial. Project feasibility studies.
A link between R&D and Factory Operations, when required.
Participate in knowledge transfer workshops/sessions, product mastership, etc. when required.

What will make you successful
A University degree in food science, chemistry or related subjects.
At least 2-3 years of previous experience in the food industry.
Previous experience involving a range of projects of varying size.
Strong problem solving, decision-making and analytical skills.
Proven track record in delivering results by working with cross-functional teams.
Strong focus on achieving individual results and meeting deadlines.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to learn new systems and data management programs.
Flexibility to occasionally travel to other Factories or Nestlé location, when required.

Position Summary

 

We are looking for a Production Team Leader to deliver the shift / line objectives by empowering and engaging people to develop their capability and ways of working through NCE implementation. The objective of this role is to ensure line (shift) production plan is fully achieved on time and in compliance with internal and external requirements meeting safety, quality, cost, delivery and environmental needs (striving towards Manufacturing Excellence).

A day in the life of a Production Team Leader

 

•    Manage Production effectively to deliver sustainable results through operational reviews (SHO, SOR, DOR) and adherence to Standard Routines (SDCA)
•    Use of Basic Problem-Solving tools and knowledge sharing (OPLs) to drive continuous improvements.
•    Ensure constant dialogue with relevant stakeholders (Production associates, Production Manager, Maintenance, Unions, functional representatives on the line)
•    Lead the Safety Culture and conditions for a Safe Working Environment. Check and enforce personnel hygiene & safety procedures (e.g PPE, shoe change & hand wash, LOTO, etc.)
•    Ensure that finished products are consistently manufactured according to standards of quality and relevant manufacturing instructions (compliance) using Digital platform

What will make you successful

 

•    Preferably at least 2 years of experience in a factory role in the CPG industry
•    Process/Maintenance engineering experience is preferred
•    Strong Analytical and Problem-solving skills
•    Demonstrates high level of learning agility with strong ability to cross-collaborate.
•    Strong Communication skills and the ability to positively confront and effectively deal with non-compliance; Experience in leading, engaging, and motivating direct reports
•    As the factory is a multi-shift operation, flexibility is required as you may be scheduled to work on other shifts, including on weekends and statutory holidays.
