Job Description

The Environmental Coordinator will report to the Director Operations and Customer Care. The Department provides technical, environmental and planning assistance for Dufferin Concrete.  The Environmental Coordinator will focus on supporting the Department’s staff in the areas of regulatory approvals, agency reporting, delivery of the environmental management system, biodiversity initiatives, coordination and supervision of technical support consultants, field data collection, site tours, environmental training and internal reporting.

  • Assist with the implementation of CSR activities and making the link to the corporate environmental policy and strategy
  • Collect, compile and analyze hydrogeology, noise, biology data
  • Preparation of internal reports including technical summaries and briefing documents
  • Participation on stakeholder committees to represent Holcim’s interests
  • Review and coordination of technical reports
  • Understanding of Provincial legislation, Official Plans & Zoning Bylaws and local policy frameworks
  • Ability to prepare and interpret maps
  • Assist in site plan amendment process
  • Project management and liaison with consulting firms
  • Attendance at committee and council meetings to monitor proceedings

Position Requirements (Experience, Technical Expertise):

  • Exceptional capacity to work with MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with MS Access, GIS and Lotus Notes would be beneficial
  • Work will involve travel to various sites and off site meetings hence an automobile and valid drivers license is required

Educational Criteria:

  • Degree in Hydrogeology, Biology, Planning, Environmental Resources, Landscape Architecture or GIS

Key Responsibilities:

•    Responsible for overseeing respective portion of the AP mailbox and circulate incoming invoices accordingly.
•    Data entry of invoices
•    Ensure all invoices are entered in a timely manner and provide support to the team as required.
•    Ensure process compliance for approvals and payments.
•    Work with the project team to ensure cost coding is correct.
•    Interact with procurement department to correct any Purchase order issues.
•    Scanning of invoices, where applicable, along with backup documents for online filing.

Required Knowledge & Skills:   

•    1 to 3 years of accounting and Accounts Payable experience preferably in a high-volume job site environment in the construction industry
•    Related Post-Secondary education
•    Demonstrate computer software proficiency with Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills would be a strong asset.
•    Strong organizational skills in order to meet multiple deadlines, prioritize and execute multiple tasks, while maintaining attention to detail.
•    Willingness to take initiative

Job Description

The Sr. Specialist, FICO Functional simplifies and improves business processes, creates new business cases, and provides third level support to existing SAP functionalities by identifying requirements, designing solutions, and configuring systems during project implementations, supporting FICO processes and integrations.

 

MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
●    Works closely with the business units across all CRH divisions, using SAP ECC and S/4 HANA to best support their business processes.
●    Evaluates business processes and identifies opportunities for improvements and savings. Prepares cost-benefit analyses to support all improvements and opportunities.
●    Leads FICO related projects and coordinates with other team members to deliver on business requirements
●    Executes project activities related to FICO function ensuring quality and on-time delivery
●    Provide leadership, direction, and issue resolutions to end-user community regarding FICO business processes, data, enhancements, and interfaces.
●    Provide solutions, directions, and options for new business requirements
●    Provide guidance, understanding, and recommendations to the business user-community in the SAP FICO processes for both ECC and S/4 environment
●    Follow IT standards, documentation, development methodologies as related to support and development activities.
●    Proactively anticipates project deviations and escalates the need for immediate corrective action
●    Acts as the gate-keeper of the SAP template for the FICO functional area and ensures that project teams are adhering to the standards established.
●    Maintains documentation library for design, configuration and training material related to FICO processes
●    Assists with performing integration, unit and user acceptance testing, including preparation of test cases and writing test scripts for FICO processes
●    Supports security design and maintenance as required, including oversight of approvals for finance, ensuring they meet organizational standards
●    Coordinates with external vendors and Banks regarding system integrations and upgrades
●    Investigates, analyzes and escalated support issues from Finance business teams
●    Supports cross functional priorities
●    Prepares weekly FICO project activity statuses
●    Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
●    Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED:
●    10+ years of SAP experience including: FICO functional expertise and FICO integration with other modules and systems
●    In-depth knowledge and extensive hands on experience on configuring and supporting SAP FI, CO, PS, AP and AR modules and SAP interfaces with banks and other non-SAP systems
●    In-depth understanding of the integration between FI, MM and SD is essential
●    Experience working with Cross-Functional Teams (SD/MM/PM/PP/LIS/BW) to develop functional and technical designs
●    Experience in managing customer expectations and building relationships
●    Demonstrated ability to operate and adapt in an ever-changing environment to changing requirements and priorities
●    Ability to identify solution gaps and disconnects in existing solutions; ability to work with the on- and off-shore development teams to explain the proposed design and share best practices
●    Strong ability to focus on priorities
●    Experience working in a support team environment with a combination of project work (change request) and support (tickets)
●    Good analytical and problem-solving skills
●    Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
●    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

QUALIFICATIONS:
Work Experience:  10 years of experience as SAP FICO Functional Consultant
Education:  Bachelor’s/University Degree or equivalent experience
Preferred field of study:  Business Administration or Information Technology
Other Training/Certifications Required:  SAP FICO
Additional Education Preferred: PMP
