As the Senior Specialist, Social Media and Content you are a crucial member of the Communications team, reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Marketing and Communications.
In This Role You Will:

Direct, manage, and develop engaging content across Oxford’s owned and earned platforms, including:

Manage organic and paid social media campaigns, including content creation across copywriting, video creation and imagery for social media.
Grow Oxford’s global audience to reflect its evolution as a global company.
Create and maintain an owned media content calendar to highlight key capabilities and strategic priorities, company thought leadership and business objectives.
Analyze campaign data to determine what works/doesn’t work, optimize real-time performance and the creation of future sponsored content.
Community Manage – respond to issues, measure sentiment, and handle any customer inquiries
Act as Oxford’s voice in the social media world. Drive engagement across platforms.
Develop and execute a social media advocacy training program to support and encourage Oxford team members, growing our internal network of ambassadors.
We need someone who:

Brings 4+ years of experience in a similar or related role.
Social listening capabilities and detailed metrics tracking.
Comfort and experience interacting with C-Suite leaders and demonstrated ability to effectively influence at the executive level.
A customer service-orientated approach.
Experience developing creative content and testing strategies to improve on key metrics.
An ability to innovate and bring fresh solutions to problems.
A willingness to share different perspectives to contribute to new ways to go beyond expectations.
The ability to build relationships based in partnership and trust.
A willingness to be flexible to accommodate colleagues across multiple time zones.
Entrepreneurial approach and desire to build new models and practices. Comfort with ambiguity.

Commercial Real Estate experience is not a pre-requisite, B2C experience is an asset.
Brings clarity and humanity to commercial real estate language that can be confusing or dry.

This role is a Content Marketing Specialist position in Greater Toronto Area, Ontario.
The candidate will directly report to the Digital Content Manager, who is located at Toronto Head Office.

This Content Marketing Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Management and creation of social and digital assets (IG, FB, Website, Email)
  • Optimize social and digital assets based on analytics and KPIs
  • Greater Toronto Assets including: Yorkdale Shopping Centre, Square One, Scarborough Town Centre

This candidate will work closely with other regional Content Marketing Specialists to support each other with content best practices, creative execution ideas and key learnings.

As a collaborative process, this Content Marketing Specialist will work and communicate with the national retail marketing team, brand managers and marketing managers to ensure content strategy and messaging is aligned.

As a member of this team, you will be responsible for the following:

Content Planning and Creation 

  • Follow digital and social best practices identified by the Digital Content Manager to ensure content adheres to evolving digital trends and the needs of customers.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Manager of each shopping centre to build monthly content calendar to be amplified on social / email / website and communicate successes and learnings
  • Work openly with other regional Content Marketing Specialists to share key learnings, creative content/templates and ideas to implement.
  • Provide on-brand copy writing for social and email to enhance user engagement
  • Be willing to always innovate content to test performance, trends or algorithms.
  • Create design templates and have a keen eye for creative details design and aesthetics.

Digital Platform Maintenance 

  • Maintain constant communication with the Digital Guest Experience Representative to ensure all facets of digital channels showcase accurate information and customer needs are being addressed.

Data Analytics & Review 

  • Review analytics on a weekly basis for social, web, and email to track trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Work towards the identified KPI goals and utilize analytics to guide decisions for content.
  • Set-up A/B testing scenarios to determine best performing content and campaigns regionally.
  • Look at competitor insights to improve and optimize existing campaigns and digital efforts.

Influencer Outreach 

  • Work with each shopping centre team to identify influencers fit for content partnerships – ensure objectives are aligned to those of the shopping centres and the national goals.
  • Create briefs to outline specific promotional needs and content deliverables.

Other:

  • Active social listening on social channels to ensure content produced meets the support of guest concerns, frequently asked questions or relevant topics.
  • Assist/lead various conversations in a working collaborative environment to ensure deliverables are met.

To succeed in this role, you have:

  • College Diploma/University Degree with a focus in digital communication, marketing, or graphic design.
  • 3-5 years of experience in content marketing
  • Design experience is a valuable asset as this role requires content creation
  • Have experience analyzing, interpreting social, email and website data as generating reports is required
  • Proficient in copywriting
  • Strong knowledge of Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite and social media/email management tools
  • Proficient at story-telling and enhancing visual and written content – strong written English communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS office and willingness to learn new software
  • Are aware and are looking constantly for growing trends to reflect into work
  • Positive and passionate attitude while collaborating, as there will be many team members to communicate with
  • Must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment, with the capability to problem-solve and multi-task, while maintaining a high-level of professionalism
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
