Division Information

PACCAR Parts operates a network of parts distribution centers offering aftermarket support to Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF dealers and customers around the world. Requisition Summary

The EZTrac Supervisor will help manage daily operations along with the Reverse Logistics Center Manager.

LOCATION: Mississauga, Ontario

Job Functions / Responsibilities

Supervises Inspectors and manages daily operations along with the Reverse Logistics Center Manager
Plans operations and assigns work to Inspectors to attain production objectives.
Coordinates inbound and outbound shipments, maximizing production efficiency.
Establishes and controls procedures to meeting production schedules, recommending improvements in production methods, equipment, operating efficiency and safe working conditions.
Assures customer service that is provided by the core Inspectors meets dealer and management expectations
Communicates effectively with Renton, WA core return customer service team.
Responsible for developing, training and mentoring team members to enhance PACCAR business knowledge.
Recommends or initiates personnel actions including promotions, transfers, interviewing, disciplinary measures, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Responsible for the accuracy and timely completion of performance appraisals. Provides effective coaching and feedback on a regular basis to direct reports.
Maintains necessary records and coordinates activities with internal and external customers as necessary.
Proactive in promoting positive working relationships with all employees, and effectively communicating company policies and guidelines and procedures. Maintains positive attitude and promotes high team morale.
Manages continuous improvement projects and has an ability to react to change productively and to handle other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:

Bachelor Degree
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate under pressure and possess strong interpersonal skills.
Strong group presentation skills
Effective verbal and written communication
Intermediate computer skills or better; with demonstrated ability to use AS400 systems and Microsoft Office (Access a plus)
Flexibility to work different and varied daytime work schedules.
Preferred:

Master’s Degree (MBA)
Minimum two years supervisory experience
Six Sigma trained: Lean Belt, Green Belt or Black Belt – exposure, certification or knowledge
Thorough knowledge of DC operations, practices and procedures acquired by two (2) or more years of progressive complex distribution center, administrative, quality and/or inventory control experience

    Job Functions / Responsibilities

    • Supports the daily operational activity of the Canadian Peterbilt sales and service teams.

    Skills / Competencies

    • High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required preferred,

    • Experience with event management and marketing including trade show management an asset.

CUSTOMER SERVICE FUNCTIONS

  • Listening to and understanding client needs
  • Welcoming clients, by telephone or in person, with courtesy and eagerness to meet their reasonable expectations;

TECHNICAL & ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS

  • The establishment of a detailed list of tasks and/or repairs to be performed when making appointments for each vehicle in the “follow-up schedule” as well as for vehicles registered in the preventive maintenance program (PEP);
  • The opening of vehicle work orders, including the verification of recall campaigns, warranties, overdue parts, maintenance due, etc.;
  • The assignment of work to mechanics according to priorities and the supervision of the quality and timelines of the work of the mechanical workshop;
  • Tracking and coordinating the return journeys of vehicles within the time limits agreed while notifying customers and contacting, as the case may be, carriers;
  • The update of the “recap” or recap of the day;
  • Tracking repair records of vehicle damage;
  • Updating the “preventive maintenance control log”;
  • The follow-up of the annual inspections carried out by an agent of the SAAQ for vehicles in short-term and long-term rental.
  • The assignment of purchase order numbers (PO) for external services such as parts purchases or specialized service purchases with the approval of the Service Supervisor;
  • Opening files at PacCentral for roadside repair work;
  • Updating knowledge on the changes and novelties of different manufacturers, to understand the operation of different programs and warranty terms;
  • Production of weekly and/or monthlyreports.

Qualification

  • Have more than 2 years of experience relevant to the maintenance of a heavy vehicle rental fleet (asset)
  • Be bilingual (read, spoken and written);
  • Have a good knowledge of the computer systems of the MS Office suite.

  • Sense of organization, analysis and planning;
  • Ease of negotiating and interacting with customers and suppliers;
  • Ability to demonstrate autonomy;

PACCAR Leasing Company is seeking a Diesel Technician to support a fast pace service center. This position will perform a variety of skilled tasks including proper maintenance, repair, overhaul and adjustment to any part(s) of a diesel or gasoline powered truck or tractor.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, independent worker. The candidate must possess a valid Driver’s License and have basic knowledge of the Ministry of Transportation rules and requirements.

Shift and Compensation

Weekend Schedule: 4 x 10 hour shifts, schedule will be determined on business needs, but Saturday and Sunday is mandatory. For employees who work Weekend shift, PACCAR Leasing offers a 5% shift premium in addition to base wages.

Willing to accept candidates that have completed their apprenticeship, but still need to complete their Ministry of Transportation test.

Pay Range: Depending on Experience (DOE) $25 – $35 per hour Plus a Shift Premium

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Provide superior customer service to clients
  • Perform diagnostic inspections on general truck-tractor systems utilizing both mechanical diagnostics and system software diagnostics
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspection of truck-tractor components.
  • Perform repairs to truck-tractor components.
  • Complete required paperwork to reflect hours, parts and lube, which are utilized within each job function.
