Kitchener, ON
$26–$28 an hour – Full-time, Permanent
We have a current opening for a Production Supervisor for our Day shift (7 am to 3 pm), reporting to the Operations Manager at our busy insulation manufacturing plant in Kitchener.
The role has a primary focus of providing support and direction to a shift of 10 to 20 unionized employees to meet daily production targets and problem-solve effectively. Responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of production, shipping, safety and quality for the shift. Occasional weekend / overtime hours at busy times with paid overtime.
Qualifications
Secondary School (Required)
Production Supervision/ Lead hand: 2 years (Required)
Unionized environment: 3 years (Required)
Day Shift (Preferred)
Night Shift (Preferred)
What we are looking for:
The following are the anticipated technical and functional qualifications, with the appropriate combination of experience and education being taken into consideration:
Secondary school diploma or degree with emphasis on Construction, Logistics or Operations
C.E.T. certification an asset
2 – 4 years of Supervisory or Team Lead Man/Lead Womanufacturing experience in a unionized environment
Strong Computer skills including Windows, Word and Excel
Experience in EPS industry would be an asset
Ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings
First Aid and CPR training
Valid drivers’ license
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to communicate effectively with employees, customer and sub-contractors.
