Job Description

What is the job opportunity?
As a Senior Service Specialist, RBC Wealth Management Financial Services, you will play a key role within a dedicated team of service professionals responsible for providing investment advisors, investment planners and their respective teams and clients with expertise and services related to life insurance policies and living benefits in force. Your main task will be to provide the Investment Advisors and their respective teams with an efficient, top-quality service for the management of in-force insurance policies. The work organization is hybrid so you will share your time between the office and home.

What will your tasks be?

  • Review forms and assist Investment Advisors in completing paperwork for in-force insurance
  • Provide list of active insurance policies to relevant Investment Advisor
  • Send monthly reports to Investment Advisors reminding them of upcoming premium renewals and future insurability options in their respective policy portfolios
  • Assist new investment advisors coming from competitors in the management of contracts at RBC and the transfer of insurance policies
  • Organize virtual presentations with the teams and follow up on their needs in relation to their contract portfolios
  • Assist with registering and navigating the insurer’s website

What do you need to be successful?
Requirements

  • Title of financial security advisor duly registered with the AMF
  • Knowledge of life insurance and living benefits products
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to multi-task
  • Solid knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills (French and English)

Assets

  • Post-secondary degree an asset
  • Work experience in an insurance agency or equivalent role in the industry

What is the opportunity?

The RBC Dominion Securities Gatineau branch is currently seeking an Associate to join a dynamic advisory team specialized in providing wealth management services to a sophisticated clientele. You will participate in growing the business by providing exceptional and efficient service and by taking care of administrative duties related to client accounts and by responding to client inquiries.

What will you do?

  • Responsible for the professional and expeditious servicing of incoming telephone and email contacts from clients, advisors, and other internal and external partners
  • Support the Investment Advisors in general administrative duties in the management of client accounts
  • Support the Investment Advisors in the preparation of client reviews and presentations
  • Request information and documentation from clients in order to open accounts and keep client files up to date
  • Follow up on client trades to ensure proper settlement and delivery
  • Monitor all pending transfers to ensure completion on a timely basis

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have

  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH), or obligation to successfully complete both courses within 12 months of start date
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent time management skills
  • Demonstrated skills in providing world-class client service that will come across as professional, warm, and friendly to our clients
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French
