What is the job opportunity?

As an Inside Sales Advisor, Wealth Management, you will be responsible for maintaining quality relationships with existing RBC Insurance brokers while developing new relationships in a specific territory and pursuing the objective of increasing sales of RBC Insurance products. You will work with Sales Consultants to achieve performance goals across all product lines, develop grower acquisition strategies, present quotes, solutions and advice to assigned brokers, and build relationships to optimize business opportunities and referrals.

What will your tasks be?

Collaborate with the Sales Consultant to establish a strategic business plan for the territory with specific sales targets
Recommend RBC Insurance products and solutions in segregated funds and annuities to producers (existing and potential)
Support producers with insurance industry, product knowledge and systems training by providing information and innovative ideas
Assist in the establishment of new producers or DGAs (delegated general agent) through proactive communications and dispatch of relevant documents
Build relationships with key producer/AGD marketing staff
Contribute to the sales process by making appointments with new prospects to organize presentations and meetings given by the sales consultant
Identify cross-sell/recommendation opportunities in other Life, Living Benefits, Wealth and Group Insurance lines of business
Maintain the Contact Management System for the Sales Consultant and carry out mailings
What do you need to be successful?

Requirements

Life insurance license (insurance of persons) or willing to obtain the license within 6 months of the date of hiring.
Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing (French and English).
Proven professional sales experience
Ability to train and influence others
Be willing to travel occasionally
Assets

Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
Knowledge of products from all lines of business related to insurance (life, living benefits or wealth management) is an asset

What is the opportunity?

 

You will act as business analyst (BA) and subject matter expert (SME) on tax initiative based projects.

You will be dedicated to the enhancement and development of the CM Tax Operations team and will work closely with the Product Manager and Head of the CM Tax Operations team as well as collaborate with the CM Taxation, Global Client Data Services and other partners across Business Client Services

What will you do?

 

  • Analyze data involving heavy use of excel as well as VBA macros
  • Create business process map diagrams for existing and proposed operational processes and system workflow; process maps required for ‘end-to-end’ process flows, which delineate the roles and responsibilities of the various functions and teams involved, whilst highlighting (a) the interactions and ‘hand-offs’ between the  functions and teams (b) controls required (c) identification of gaps and outstanding issues and (d) recommended solutions
  • Gather and document formal Business Requirements to support on-going development for an in-house application; requirements gathered in respect of the tax regulation and needs of the CM Tax Operations team; requirements to be documented using established RBC project management framework and standards.
  • Gather and document requirements and process flows in collaboration with the Product Manager and Head of the CM Tax Operations team, CM Taxation, Global Client Data Services and other partners across Business Client Services
  • Document and track project tasks that are assigned to the CM Tax Operations team; provide report of status to key partners and senior management
  • Participate in testing initiatives; create and execute test cases
  • Develop and document business cases for new or proposed initiatives
  • As required and based on business need, develop and implement tactical initiatives in place of more strategic system based solutions

What you need to succeed?

 

Must-have

 

  • Undergraduate degree
  • 2 – 3 years of Business Analyst experience, preferably working on financial regulatory projects and ideally on Tax related projects
  • Proven ability to work with Excel VBA (macros)
  • Excellent analytical skills and communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Excellent appreciation for controls within processes
  • Ability to manage multiple, concurrent assignments to plan and execute work to meet tight deadlines

This unique position calls on your client-focused sales expertise and natural problem-solving skills to maximize each client interaction. Specifically, you help clients with their everyday banking, credit, and investment needs. As an RBC ambassador, you add value in the moments that matter most to clients and collaborate with RBC partners to help clients achieve their goals. Whether you’re demonstrating to a client how to use digital banking, on-boarding a new client, or referring a complex opportunity to a specialist, your expertise will contribute to creating meaningful and memorable client experiences to drive client satisfaction and loyalty.

 

What will you do?

  • Proactively engage with clients in all areas of the branch and in the community, uncovering banking needs, providing help and advice, as well as identifying sales and referral opportunities
  • Focus on client education and demonstration, leveraging technology to deliver a memorable client experience, drive sales, and retain business
  • Respond to client-initiated contact, assisting them with a full range of financial transactions
  • Actively listen and engage clients in conversation to further understand their individual needs
  • Proactively take ownership of resolving and preventing client banking problems
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with partners to make the most of business opportunities and referrals

 

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Mutual Funds accreditation, or willingness to obtain it (i.e., Investment Funds in Canada or the Canadian Securities Course)
  • Demonstrated passion for putting clients first, as well as success in a hands-on, target-driven sales environment
  • Problem-solving and people skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and proactively connect with clients
  • Flexibility, eagerness to learn, strong personal ethics, and a hunger for success
  • Digital literacy across a broad range of devices (i.e., smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.)

 

Nice-to-have

  • Track record in building rapport and maintaining client relationships within the financial or service industry
  • Bilingualism: French & English
