Job Description

Mortgage Specialist Assistant

Supports top producing Mortgage Specialist in meeting sales objectives and related activities by providing value added administrative service and support.  Provides primarily responsive client contact management through telephone, fax and e-mail requests.  Develops relationships with service partners to ensure operational guidelines are adhered to and transactions are processed efficiently. Manages office routines to ensure efficiency is maintained through availability and effective management of files and records. Gathering and preparing material required for presentations, meetings, marketing initiatives, etc.

*Please note this is a one year term position*

Key Accountabilities:

– Consistently provides superior responsive service to client fax/e-mail/telephone requests

– Consistently provides superior responsive execution and delivery of client transactions/requests

– Familiar with key referral sources, has strong organizational awareness and strong knowledge of mortgage and investment processes which facilitate solutions and problem resolution

-Demonstrated personal commitment to ensure skills and knowledge are up-to-date

Knowledge/Experience:

-To support the position of a mobile Mortgage Specialist, you should be sales-oriented, self-motivated, self-managed and thrive in a fast paced environment

-Strong skills in problem solving and sense of urgency are key in this position, as well as customer service, listening and understanding, achievement/motivation, teamwork and co-operation, initiative and pro-activity

-Excellent communication skills, oral/written skills, good business writing

-Resourceful and able to work independently is required

-You must be able to consistently provide superior responsive service to client requests in order to build customer loyalty and trust

-You must be extremely well organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.

-You are an energetic and enthusiastic team player who pays attention to detail

-Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook and Marketing Central

-Strong knowledge of the mortgage process and Home Financing products is an asset

-Knowledge of Royal Bank systems including Sales & Service Platform and RBCNet would be an asset
