Your Challenge

We are looking for Building Managers to support our Real Property Planning and Management Branch in Ottawa, ON. The Building Manager would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.

The Real Property Planning and Management (RPPM) is responsible for operations and maintenance of approximately 65 facilities in the National Capital Region supporting research and development activities in a campus environment.

The successful candidates will assigned a portfolio of buildings with the responsibility to monitor building activities ensuring the safety and security of building occupants, coordinating, planning and monitoring maintenance and repair activities for smooth daily building operations.  The Building Managers also plays a key role in planning, monitoring and reporting financial expenditures. Additionally and is also responsible for supervision of one assigned direct report.

Screening Criteria

Applicants must demonstrate within the content of their application that they meet the following screening criteria in order to be given further consideration as candidates:

Education

Completion of a three-year community college diploma in Civil, Structural, Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience might be accepted.
