Job Description
Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Inc. is looking to fill the full time year round position of Cirque Restaurant Manager. Reporting to the Resort Food and Beverage Director, the ideal candidate will have previous restaurant management experience, will be an excellent communicator with strong written and oral communication skills and have an excellent knowledge of fine food, wine and quality service. Some of the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Duties:
To ensure a comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff
Effective and efficient administration, daily operation and management of the restaurant staff and service quality functions of the restaurant
Maintain and enhance product and service offerings in partnership with the F&B Director and Chef
Assist in the planning, execution and follow up on catering events, group functions and weddings
Hire, train, coach and develop a successful & enthusiastic team of employees
Manage scheduling in accordance with labour targets and employment policies
Complete payroll processes in an accurate and timely manner
Administer budgets on an ongoing basis by monitoring and tracking expenses
Complete weekly and seasonal reports to the F&B Director as required
Maintain effective communication with other departments to fulfill the overall resort objectives
Know and maintain RCR policies and procedures and Safety Management program
Know and maintain the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the RCR Employee Handbook
Know and maintain all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
Know and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs
To perform other tasks and duties that are applicable
Qualifications:
3 to 5 years’ experience in a leadership role in the food and beverage industry
Proven track record in developing and maintaining service standards
Comprehensive knowledge of fine food, wine and quality service
Previous special function, event or wedding experience
Proven fluency with MS Office and Point-of-Sale software
Postgraduate diploma or degree and related certifications an asset

Reporting to:Front Office Manager

Lizard Creek Lodge and Fernie Slope side Lodge are looking to fill the position of Front Desk Agent, serving the hotels at Fernie Alpine Resort by working a variety of AM, PM and occasionally Night Audit shifts across both properties. Reporting to the Front Office Manager, the ideal candidate will display professionalism, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, is able to work independently with a focus on accuracy and a commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences. Some of the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- To ensure a safe, comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff
- Ensure a comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff
- Seek out and act upon opportunities to assist guests
- Complete hotel reservations, maintaining hotel booking and cancellation policies
- Complete guest check-in & check-out processes
- Respond to guest communication and transfer calls
- Assist guests in a polite and timely manner regarding all hotel and resort services
- Review daily Front Office operations including guest accounts and hotel financials
- Perform the day end process for the hotel and set up the following day
- Identify and communicate opportunities to create exceptional guest experiences
- Know and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook
- Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
- Know and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs
- To perform other tasks and duties that are applicable
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
