Production Coordinator

The Production Coordinator position is responsible for leading employees in a manufacturing environment, including accountability for the achievement of all safety, quality, customer service, productivity, throughput, cost and continuous improvement objectives through both individual and team contributions.  Production Coordinator is accountable for providing clear direction, leadership, and support to direct reports through empowerment, teamwork, coaching, and on-the-job assignments. This is being done as the organization transforms into a Continuous Improvement and Lean environment.

  • Directs employees and plant floor activities to achieve a consistent and high-quality product
  • Ensures that behaviours, practices and the work environment support a safe workplace by enforcing safety and sanitation rules and principles
  • Ensure compliance with all Provincial and Company regulatory requirements
  • Maintains positive employee relations, including participating in evaluation and training of hourly personnel
  • Tracks employees’ work performance and attendance to ensure performance metrics are met, including resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Utilizes metrics/data to evaluate and improve work processes, as well as maintain line related system and regulatory documentation
  • Collaborate with supervisors and cross-functional teams to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related, business or technical field such as food science, operations management, or engineering is an asset
  • 2-5 years of experience in a production management or supervision role, preferably in the food processing industry
  • Strong communication skills – must be able to accurately express information concerning production quality and safety
  • Individual must be self-motivated, detail-orientated, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have good time management & organizational skills

The Material Planner role involves a high degree of internal interaction and collaboration with Scheduling, Customer Service, Production, Quality and Engineering teams as well as external interaction with suppliers and potential suppliers.

We are seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual, capable of multitasking with a high level of personal and professional ethics.

  • Prepare, issue and monitor purchase orders to ensure production requirements are met using ERP/MRP environment
  • Establish, monitor and manage relationships with key suppliers and internal functions
  • Anticipate and communicate demand schedules to suppliers, escalate risks with vendors and internal teams and propose solutions and/or corrective actions
  • Identify cost savings opportunities
  • Manage the RMA process
  • Escalates any issues that impact production
  • Minimize inventory levels while maintaining customer service levels
  • Approve Freight invoices and Resolve invoice discrepancies
  • Perform other duties/projects/reports as required

What you bring to the table

  • Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management (minimum 3-year program)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in purchasing, forecasting and inventory planning
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Detailed working knowledge of ERP/MRP
  • Strong Microsoft office skills (Excel, Work, PPT, etc.)
  • Well-developed Communication (both written and verbal)
  • Solid Analytical skills
  • High level of planning, organizational and Implementation skills
  • Self-Motivated team player
  • Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Extremely organized and resourceful individual capable of multi-tasking
  • Ability to stay calm in stressful situations

Part Time Packer Team Member – Early Morning

3:30 am – 7:30 am, Monday to Friday

$17.23 – $19.23 an hour

(in addition, .30 shift premium for Afternoons and .45 shift premium for Nights)

Required to visually inspect the flow of product through various stages of the packaging process.
Place proper quantities of product in each box; Check code dates, prices, fold and tape box
Stack correct number of boxes appropriately on skids using correct stacking pattern.
Required to rotate through the various packaging workstations on all packaging lines.
Perform general housekeeping duties such as sweeping, light equipment cleaning as required

Strong communication skills – must be able to accurately express information concerning production quality and safety
Require good hand, eye coordination
Responsible for ensuring that the work they perform meets the Company’s finished product “Quality” expectations

Packer Team Member

Afternoons: 3:30 PM – 11:30 PM

Nights: 11:30 pm – 7:30 am

******************** Starting Hourly pay: $16.85/hr ********************

After 1040 hrs worked, the rate will increase to $18.35 (top rate).
