Who We Are

At Social Nature, we believe change starts in the shopping basket. Changing consumer behavior is hard, but we know that trial is the #1 path to purchase. And so we’ve built a best-in-class product sampling platform that helps people try something that’s better for them and the planet – on their next shopping trip.

Over the last 6 years, we’ve organically grown our community to over 750,000 members and have worked with over 500 natural food and health brands across North America largely through client referrals and industry partnerships. You can learn more about our product sampling solution and client success stories here.

We recently raised a round of growth financing from mission-aligned investors including Active Impact Investments (climate change VC), the co-founder of VEGA (#1 plant-based protein brand), and the co-founder of Shopify (#1 e-commerce platform for emerging brands) so that we can accelerate our impact.

We’re not stopping until every CPG brand in the world is launching their healthy and sustainable products on Social Nature so that more people can #trynatural.

The Purpose of the Role

Social Nature is seeking an experienced Client Success Manager to join our team during an exciting time for our company. We’re experiencing high growth and we’re looking for someone who truly thrives in a fast-paced environment.

When you join our Client Success team, you will work closely with our Client Success & Community Team and cross-functional teams to continue supporting the company’s vision of having every healthy and sustainable CPG brand sample their products through Social Nature so that more people can #trynatural.

You will be a key supporter of the day-to-day relationship between Social Nature and our clients — you will be project managing sampling campaigns, handling relationships with clients, and reporting on consumer insights. You have a passion for working on multiple projects at the same time and you like to add value at every juncture to delight your clients.

The CS team is the bridge between our clients and our service and is therefore a highly collaborative role that engages not only with clients but also works closely with our sales, community, and product teams to achieve our client retention, expansion, and referral KPIs.

This role is based out of Vancouver, BC, Canada. Our Client Success team members have a hybrid work preference that has them coming into our beautiful downtown Vancouver office 1-3/week with the option to work from home the rest of the time.

What you will be doing:

  • Own a portfolio of up to 60 existing client accounts that have annual subscriptions to our product sampling and consumer insights platform.
  • You’ll own the planning and execution of each of your client’s sampling campaigns at every stage of the customer lifecycle starting with onboarding clients to managing the service delivery to presenting the campaign outcomes.
  • Become an expert on campaign best practices (what works / what doesn’t) and our community preferences so you can set up your client campaigns for success.
  • Share actionable insights from the campaigns to help our clients grow at retail
  • Collaborate with sales on expansions and renewals; proactively identifying opportunities for account growth and/or retention risks.
  • Set-up monthly account reviews with the sales team and proactively monitor account health scores.
  • Take the lead in annual customer renewal management by preparing annual account reviews and obtaining post-trial survey results
  • Be an advocate for your clients; share product suggestions, monitor trends, and work in collaboration with our internal teams, including sales, operations, product and marketing to optimize current processes, work on performance objectives, and customer outcome expectation

What success in this role looks like:

  • You retain your client accounts year over year
  • In collaboration with sales you grow the value of your account portfolio
  • Clients share testimonials and referrals as they are so happy with our service
  • Our clients and team members love working with you

What you will need to succeed in this role:

  • 3+ years of customer success or B2B account management experience.
  • Ideally relevant experience at a SaaS technology company or digital marketing agency.
  • Bonus points if you’ve managed CPG client accounts before.
  • Have a customer-first mindset and are a natural problem solver.
  • Thrive in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Excellent time-management skills with the discipline to handle multiple tasks and adapt quickly to change – every day brings new challenges and you love solving them!
  • Clear and concise communication; including the ability to present to executives and key decision makers.
  • Team player with a knack for building relationships.
  • You like to add value at every juncture to delight your clients.
  • Superior attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Have an uncanny ability to notice trends and foresee issues—then proactively act to make improvements where necessary.
  • Ideally has experience with using Salesforce.

  • Bonus points for subscription-based sales experience

How You Will Succeed in the Role:

  • Sell to new CPG customers (50%)
  • Retain and grow an existing account book by developing collegial, proactive relationships with colleagues in key departments, especially the Client Success team responsible for fulfilling deals won (25%)
  • Network online and offline by attending trade shows and networking on Linkedin (10%)
  • Become an expert on CPG marketing and growth strategies. Proactive intelligence gathering on CPG marketing best practices, emerging digital marketing best practices, and competitive offerings (5%)
  • Commit to your own personal and professional growth (5%)
  • Diligently manage a Salesforce pipeline, tracking progress vs. goals, creating accurate sales forecasts, reporting on progress, identifying barriers, and defining tactical plans to meet and overcome near-term obstacles to meeting sales goals (5%)
