Job Description

Position
Reporting to the Regional Branch Manager, the successful candidate has responsibility for the overall direction and co-ordination of all branch operations and activities within clearly defined policies and procedures. Organizes and directs the daily activities of both the deposit and loan portfolios comprised of deposits, credit, commercial and agricultural lending, mortgages and investment products. Supervises all branch staff and manages employee performance, supporting their development through a variety of training/coaching opportunities. Markets services and products by implementing business plan objectives and works to maintain the Credit Union’s image and profile in the community by supporting community organizations and attending community events. Evaluates the effectiveness of branch systems and initiates action to improve branch efficiency, maintains proper security procedures and interprets and initiates action to improve adherence to established credit union policies and procedures.
 
Person
Personal qualities that involve management, coaching people and lending are most suited to this position.   The Successful candidate will have strong skill sets in the lending area, particularly more complex agricultural and commercial credit. Our newly created Manager of Programs and Projects Leader will  collaborate cross-functionality to deliver projects that enhance Sunrise Credit Union’s ability to deliver exceptional service and solutions for members.  This includes coordinating projects and resource management within the program, project management, business analysis, working with internal stakeholders and external partners to understand business requirements, and leading configuration and implementation efforts to support business strategies and objectives.  The Program & Project Leader will consistently apply teamwork and leverage technology to solve business challenges.

Educational Requirements

  • Post Secondary education preferred.
  • Project Management certification would be an asset.

Experience and Skills

  •  Minimum of 7 years related job experience.
  • Strong understanding of Credit Union principles, products and services, and business operations
  • Knowledge and awareness of evolving trends in financial services technology
  • Understanding of computer technology and systems development, and the ability to translate technology    to  multiple stakeholders; demonstrates a passion for leveraging technology to solve business challenges.
  • Demonstrated judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.
  • Analytical skills, business analysis, and an aptitude for process development and improvement
  • People management skills, and the ability to lead, coach, motivate and develop others.
  • Demonstrated facilitation and relationship building skills, and the ability to  influence at all levels.
