About You

As a Project Manager, you will need to work closely with the team on delivering our more complex client implementations. You are an individual who takes pride in their work and has excellent organizational and time management skills, and able to balance many competing priorities. You understand the value of communicating effectively and will be responsible for facilitating discussions across various groups to ensure that implementations are kept on track and delivered on or preferably before the deadline. Job Responsibilities
  • Manage the delivery of our more complex client implementations that require new functionality on our products, coordination between multiple products or are a non-standard implementation requiring more complex planning, resourcing, and scheduling
  • Ensure implementations are executed on time and on budget
  • Create and manage work back schedules for projects
  • Responsible for managing the delivery and completion of all tasks related to product implementations
  • Coordinate communications and status meetings between all internal and external stakeholders on implementation projects
  • Constantly monitor new industry trends and tools that can be leveraged by Trufla and educate the team on these trends and changes
  • Help to continually evolve and improve internal processes to ensure quality and efficiency standards are maintained
  • Help to define repeated “non-standard” implementations into a standardized implementation process that can be managed by the Implementation Coordinators
  • Support the ongoing business development efforts with planning and estimation of potential projects
Job Qualifications
  • 3+ years’ experience in similar role, preferably within a marketing agency, technology/software company or professional services firm
  • PMP or working towards obtaining it is considered an asset
  • Willing to shift regular work schedule to support clients in various time zones
  • Proven track record managing client and internal relationships
  • Must have good knowledge and experience in (Jira)
  • Must have good knowledge and experience in Project scheduling and resource planning

Position Overview

ABOUT YOU
Are you an experienced Product Owner or Software Engineer looking for a new challenge and an opportunity to further advance your skills and career in a great working environment? We are seeking a strong Product Owner to work with our team to deliver products that innovate and evolve the insurance industry. You will take on the responsibility for building and managing a successful product and have the skills to help drive the multifaceted team that is needed to accomplish this.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage the product roadmap and priorities for the success of the product
  • Create, maintain & communicate the client focused requirements to the business analysis, user experience, user interface and development teams
  • Gather and analyze insights from client feedback, competitors, peers and the insurance industry
  • Create and maintain the client backlog
  • Prioritize backlog features for development sprints
  • Help organize sprint reviews
  • Participate in sprint planning sessions
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, executive owner, and team members
  • Gather and document user stories that clearly articulate the business systems function and requirements
  • Collaborate with communications, sales, account management and support to ensure clients needs are being met and used as an input to prioritize activities to build a strong product
  • Share client feedback with the team
  • Other responsibilities as needed to build and deliver on the product vision

Required Skills

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Post-secondary degree or significant equivalent experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in Product Ownership, Product Management or Software Engineering
  • Experience in the Canadian P & C insurance industry or financial industry a huge asset
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies
  • Experience working within Atlassian products such as Jira and Confluence
