The Role at High-Level:
We are looking for someone who doesn’t shy away from tackling hard problems and interesting (well, most times!) subjects like payroll and HR technology. We’re currently seeking a Fraud Analyst to join our team.

Being a Fraud Analyst for Wagepoint means acting as a “gate-keeper” of sorts, ensuring that all sign-ups pass your checks before the clients run their first payroll. You are responsible for protecting Wagepoint as well as its clients, and ensuring that information is not being misused in any way, while consistently applying internal fraud and control policies.
What you’ll be doing:
You will have major involvement in the fraud portion of our customer onboarding process by completing a research and analysis assessment of new clients
Communicating effectively with clients and bankers to verify account information for payroll processing purposes
Reviewing high payroll amounts on a regular basis and following up with clients as needed
Identifying and communicating fraud trends and patterns to management and peers
Generating daily reports for management, for data maintenance as well as fraud prevention
Identifying fraudulent accounts and preparing reports for the management team as needed
Ad hoc tasks as they come up (as with most small teams, we wear many hats!)

What you bring to the table:
1+ years of work-related experience in fraud
Bilingual (French and English )
Must be authorized to work in Canada or the U.S.
High-Paced and Pressure-filled environment at times; ability to work with tight deadlines
Work very well as part of a team and individually
Work effectively remotely with minimal supervision
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients; minimum of 2 years customer service experience (both phone and by email)
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment given the information provided by prospective clients and research findings

The role at high level:
Wagepoint is hiring an experienced Implementation Lead for a full time 12 month contract . Reporting to the CXO, you will be responsible for the Product Transformation  of Wagepoint 2.0.  You will help to develop a new User Acceptance Testing (UAT) strategy. This will include making sure that all UAT activities are progressing as scheduled, roadblocks are removed, risks mitigated, and issues that are raised are resolved quickly.

The Role at High Level: 
We are looking for a talented Customer Support Specialist (Otherwise known as Payroll Specialist) who doesn’t shy away from tackling hard problems and interesting (well, most times!) subjects like payroll and HR technology. This role will be responsible for supporting our customers as they run their payroll, ensuring that everything is set up correctly for our customers within our software, and providing support to our sales and onboarding team.  You will report directly to our Head of Customer Success.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Connect with our customers to answer questions and help resolve issues through phone and email
  • Access all incoming client support requests & reassign to the team as necessary
  • Work with clients directly on basic payroll issues – setups, tax rates & account numbers, direct deposits, processing of regular & off-cycle payrolls, etc
  • Work closely with Sales, On-boarding, and Risk team to ensure customer success
  • Set up any custom income or deduction requests from clients
  • Notify clients of any rejected direct deposits on their payroll
  • Work with various teams to resolve customer support concerns, escalate bug issues and serve as an ambassador for our brand
  • Daily use of CRM tools and cloud-based dashboards

What you bring to the table:

  • Ideally you have 2+ years of experience in payroll processing or have worked within a payroll processing environment
  • You have experience working in a customer service role or capacity

  • Ability to work with web-based applications (technology doesn’t scare you!)
  • Knowledge of the Canadian payroll, tax and financial landscape is an asset

We’re looking for a talented Accountant – Payroll Remittanceswho doesn’t shy away from tackling hard problems and interesting (well, most times) subjects like accounting and technology. As an Accountant – Payroll Remittances, you will be an integral part of our Finance Team, and report to our Head of Operations.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Reconciling daily/monthly cash flows and investigating exceptions
  • Reconciling revenue billings and receipts and resolving discrepancies
  • Assisting in the month-end reconciliation and close process
  • Assisting with daily payroll processing files and associated client support ticket
  • Reconciling All Payroll Remittance types, including CRA, Revenue Quebec, WCB and Employer Health Tax
  • Reviewing for manual adjustments required to Remittances
  • Processing large remittance files to government agencies, including data entry in preparing submissions
  • Assisting with Customer Support related to Payroll Remittances and Client Invoicing
  • Other special projects and ad-hoc requests, as required.
