Job Duties:
• Comply with all applicable legislative and Weston Foods food safety, health and safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Follow Instructions from Production Supervisor.
• Work closely with Machine operators to ensure line is running smoothly without backups/stoppages.
• Monitor and conduct minor troubleshooting of stacker equipment; ensure dollies are available to the machine as required.
• Check and move completed stacks from the stacker machine to their appropriate location in the warehouse.
• Place finished bagged product onto blue trays as per required configuration.
• Rework any product back to the line that is not complying with standards (improperly sealed bags, missing tag, less/more product in the bag etc…).
• Keep your work area clean and organized; clean during and before end of shift as required.
• Provide relief support during packaging crew breaks.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Food manufacturing experience is an asset.
• Comfortable with bending, reaching and pushing.
•Able to lift up to 50lbs repetitively.
•Strong communication and multitasking skills.
•Attention to detail.

The Materials Coordinator at our Carrier Drive bakery in Etobicoke is responsible for inventory of raw and packaging materials for the bakery. Keeping track of Receiving logs and all deliveries and ordering material where necessary, and works with Health & Safety and Maintenance leaders at the bakery to administer related programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Counts inventory (raw materials, packaging materials and bulks) for the bakery on time, in the required quantities & in accordance with the prescribed raw material specifications;
- Prepares raw material forecast reports on quantities needed for each material to assure continuous uninterrupted supply;
- Works closely with the Receiving Department to ensure the required raw materials are received on time, to meet production needs;
- Monitors inventory quantities carefully to minimize stale or unusable raw material;
- Active participation in preparation for and transition to SAP software solution;
- Correct receiving issues raw and packaging materials in SAP and Clear daily shop floor consumption errors;
- Ensures that SAP inventory matches with material batches on the production floor, conduct necessary adjustment and correction as required to accommodate day to day production.
- Generates Maintenance Work Orders for Skilled Tradesmen where required.
- Act as a back-up for Plant Admin in her absence;
- Assign, collect and keep record of monthly safety talks;
- Work with leader to conduct monthly JHSC meetings and record concerns and corrective actions;
- Maintains a safe & secure work environment for all employees.
QUALIFICATIONS
- SAP experience is required.
- Completion of post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field is an asset;
- Previous manufacturing experience/knowledge; knowledge of equipment (production speed/capacity)
- Prior purchasing, inventory management, scheduling experience an asset
- Interpersonal/Listening/Communication skills;
- Organizational and Analytical skills (prioritization);
- Flexibility is a must; delayed deliveries could create a backup of issues
